Yeah nothing in the world sticks to silicone! It sounds as though you made a decent job of the prep but with an unknown history on the dash I’d hazard a guess at silicone! There shouldn’t be any other reason why what you are experiencing would happen!
Did you flock it yourself? How well did you prep the surfaces? Did the dash used to get regular silicone to make it look nice before flocking? Both of these things will stop the adhesive from adhering properly..
MG auto motorsport at Ripley! They’ve been looking after my cars for the last 11 years! My old Evo and current 172 cup.
They have hunter alignment gear and can also corner weight etc if that is something you are interested in

They use the show ground at Newark and have testers come to them! Great bunch and sure...
Nice work!! Out of interest, in your last pic of the drivers side there is another spot welded piece that runs up towards the pedals.. does this have any purpose or do you think it could be removed too?
As said there must be a problem somewhere. I have the same pads in mine and have done 3 trackdays now and driven too and from and they aren't even half worn...
Yes plenty! Very much up to speed and can give advice on what might help to get the feeling you are after! I've used them for years on my previous car (they are evo specialists) but now they also look after the geo on my Clio!
As said you don't have a deal of adjustment on the standard suspension set up but if you are in the midlands it's worth checking out M.G Auto Motorsports in Ripley Derbyshire. They will be able to advise and get you set up on their hunter allignment gear! They also have full corner weighting...
I did the same and bought one of these!

I'm very happy with it considering most places charge that to flock a dash! I just chose black flock with mine and did my dash top.
I've been using the snowfoam from here

I'm happy with it and it's reasonably priced! I'm also lucky as they have a shop in Hucknall (Nottingham) so I can just go in and grab bits and bobs as and when I need!
www.advancedvehiclecare.co.uk are flexipad stockists! Not sure where you are but if you are anywhere near Nottingham they have just opened their own shop and have all of the flexipads on the shelf!
Yes that is correct although there should also be another washer and a nyloc for the top
Fitted mine last week. Be warned though it is a very tight fit over the gearbox stud. I fettled mine slightly before fitting with some emery paper.
