Yes I thought you were. Yes Kenny made all his own which does look ideal but I could never do that with my hamfisted skills lol
Do you think the cup racer engine mounts would fit a JC5 rather than the sadev? Sorry for all the questions ;)
Car’s looking well mate :) Do you run cup racer engine mounts? If not have you thought of a solution for tubbing the arch where the O/S engine mount goes? I need to tub mine as struggling with tyres rubbing and about to add a lot more caster
Yes you would need to drain the system and then i’d flush a fair bit through but I much prefer to run just a higher quality DOT 4 fluid myself. Something like the Motul RBF600 is normally plenty good enough for the clio’s with a much higher wet and dry boiling point than std DOT 4
Nick at Puremotorsport has just made a kit to allow bigger rear bearings so if you are struggling to source spares then that's probably the best option. Sorry to hear about your bad luck Ian :(
Haha thanks guys it will be pretty good hopefully :)
It's only ever going to do Le Mans and back buddy I have no interest in using it on the roads other than that :) it's too bumpy, lumpy and horrid although I'm not taking it over there with the proper engine and dog box just a waste of wear...
Santa came this morning :)
The quality is very impressive!
So over the next few weeks i’ll decide what i’m going to do with the engine, part of me is tempted to build it into a head and fit it onto my existing block, rev it to 8k and probably make about 250bhp. (Could do this while i’m...
Circumstances have now changed a bit but not really changed plans to be honest. I am hoping to do Bedford in Feb if my gearbox is fixed in time, I’m doing Nurburgring and Spa in April, then making the car road legal to go to Le Mans in June so just a few different bits and bobs :) I may do a...
Best of luck for Pembrey Ian! Would be a real shame if you got rid of the Clio but you've certainly not had an easy time with it.
Impreza looks great, anymore details of it? Never really seen specs of wrc cars
Re: Road/Track 172
Mines running at 12.3 but I'm tempted to chuck a std gasket back on and run it at 13.2.
I keep hearing of issues with the Megane injectors and Paul at RS tuning has just supplied some nice Siemens injectors that have a very good rep so seem like a good option :)
Re: Road/Track 172
Did you cc it all and check out the comp on those pistons? Just interested if they are accurate :)
What injectors are you going for?
2 clips and then you can pull the pins out, undo the electrical connector and one bolt for the check strap. I'd say 5 mins a side to remove on a bad day. Watch out though they are weighty!
