Fair play to you guys, that was a hoot - Already looking forward to the next meet!
special thanks to @Filters for organising the day (also letting me doss at your house and feeding me home made tiramisu! nom!!)
the word "epic" gets over used these days, but today has been just that! EPIC!
My...
Im really looking forward to this, if i can actually get there! alot of roads on route closed due to ice -.-
that was early this morning tho, fingers crossed the sun has cleared things!
Thanks for the good comments.. The tyres are fine, they hold the road better than the bridgestones ive taken off.. I dont drive the car to its limits, so I have no understeer issues, its my daily, not a track car.. I will be buying better tyres after winter, when its safe to drive with more...
I'm not 'taking away' any performance, same size tyres that came on the standard 7J wheels, so the same amount of rubber touching the floor..
As above its so you can fit wider wheels to lower cars so they don't catch the arches, some people take it too far for the sake of 'scene' but I did alot...
yep unfortunately, my bridgestones have cracked around the center of the tread, see here:
and they were the best option in stock on the day for what I can afford at the moment, Until I get Paid, I use the car everyday so I cant afford to "shop around" or wait for better ones at the moment, I...
she will be going lower again, dont worry :) when I first brought the car home it was too low, and I knew I wanted wider wheels, So I lifted the coilys as high as they would go ready to fit them, now they are fitted I can adjust from there! coming soon!...
Friends dont let friends roll on Ro..oh..
all jokes aside, Ive never been a fan of the black on black look, so I went shopping for some new wheels for the WRX..
Obviously its not the best time for fitting new wheels, especially white ones, but after taking delivery of them, and seeing them...
@182Trophy - looks like ill be driving the whole way in the scoob, if I 'drive steady' she sits at 30mpg(give or take) so I won't need a lift, but you are more than welcome to come for a spin at some point on the day ;)
@Jaff. If you are worried about getting the train back I'm more than happy...
320bhp 296ft/lb mapped by Graham Duncan @ race dynamix
I am planning to get her mapped again, I read the Ecu can hold 2 maps.. So ill get a slightly less power map for daily so I use less fuel haha
It's the arches that need the attention, I'd love to s1600 kit it and stick a bigger lump in the front but its all money that id much rather spend on the scoob.. Maybe one day ill do her up ;) thanks for the offer tho!!
It's sat on my driveway with no interior! I can't bring my self to scrap it! She has a healthy solid motor and the brakes were just epic! Shame the body is rotten but I'd love to fix it up! Just no time or cash!
I'm absolutely loving mine!
54' java blavk blobeye pushing 320bhp.. It sounds good, it looks good, and it makes me smile like a child at Christmas, it angers old people and scares children! Just a shame about the mpg but that's not why I bought it!
@182Trophy pm me your post code? I might take you up on that offer!
@LiquidYellDan imprezzas ain't bad on fuel.. But mines not standard.. I'm getting 18-20mpg at best :p
I've asked for the day off and it shouldn't be a problem
I've also spoken to @Ash' and he's up for it too!
Ill sort a deposit out tomorrow and add our names to the list after!
Probably head up on the train unless ash wants to drive.. I'm sure we can sort it out before then!
I'm up for this if I can get the day off work! Ill let you know Monday/Tuesday when my boss is back off holiday :D I've text Ash to see if he's interested! Although you already tagged him lol
Couple updates:
Had the scoob checked over at a local garage who specialise in performance cars (ive posted about the place before, Autosmartpembs - they have a couple of rather tasty cars including a mk1 1jz 740bhp supra, and a 550bhp gto) been using the same place for over 2 years now, got to...
300+ blobeye friend
I've had my Wrx for a full 7 days now and can safely say its an epic piece of kit.. I'm sure the sti is phenomenal! 50/50 DV any good? Running no BoV (silicone bung mod) is worrying me a little although I haven't driven mine hard yet and the turbo is only 2k miles...
This one is costing me a fortune in petrol but I'm probably enjoying it more than I should.. 800 miles in and I'm still learning what it does :)
Sooooo much more fun than a clio (for me personally) the noises alone are worth it!!
Got to work and my boss handed me my missing mudflap.. He found it on his driveway this morning, must have fallen off last night when I dropped him home
Not sure if ill put them back on now or not lol
