Had a meeting with my insurance broker this week, who informs me my current insurer, Aviva, is not covering Valeters anymore due to a large number of claims.? he was also saying that you should advise your insurance if you apply a permanent coating as it could be taken as a modification. ?
Best to water that BH down a bit Mark and use a spray rather than a squirt so it gets in the corners mate. I have the same thing with Matthews wheels all you can do is apply something like Reload or Elixir bsd so it cleans easier. Love the RB ?
I went to Enfield to try a facelift Trophy. The demo car was being used by a salesman and was full of old McDonalds boxes and empty water bottles and personal effects. Hence why they do not like test drives. I’ve also never had an issue with my 220 Trophy gearbox. I don’t think distance is an...
Attended a RenaultSport meet at the weekend, well attended by Meganes but 6 Clio’s only. I’ve attended Ford and German car meets which have been well attended. I can only conclude people like cliosport but not Clio’s. ?
We could have a Sunday cars and coffee meet 9-12 at The Halfway Kelvedon but you will need to confirm numbers for them to open. If people are interested I’m happy to go see if we could make it happen.
After attending three car meets on Sunday, a breakfast meet at The Halfway Kelvedon, Essex Car Meets at Lamborghini Chelmsford and Essex Ford Meet at the wings North Weald I only meet one other Clio a Trophy like mine. We spent a sunny afternoon talking about our cars. Nice to see Mat over the...
If you want pop down and see me I will introduce you to Tony at Spraymaster and you can get a quote but they have no courtesy car. He did a good job on Suzanne’s RB 197 but quality paint is expensive.
Hi Boyd, im 56 also, not sure where you live but try your local main dealer and see if they have a facelift Trophy you can take for a spin. The Renaultsport track days are a good way to experience clios and they normally have press cars to try. The club meets are a good way to meet members...
Might be a bit cold for a North Weald meet atm but members are welcome to bring their clio,s in over the weekend and take pics and have a coffee. A direction map is on the website.
Scott and I was looking at a possible meet a Frankie & Bennies on the Saturday of the 9th February at 6pm. This can be at Lakeside or Rochester. Numbers will be needed to book so if you cannot make it don’t post then wash your hair on the day.
The clio 200 cup or any 200 with a cup chassis is very trashy and hates bumps may i suggest a clio 4 rs may be worth a look and it has four doors although rear room is very limited even for children.
R Sport Steve has a nice white 200 for sale on Pistonheads. https://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/renault/renaultsport-clio/renaultsport-clio-200--only-38k-miles--high-spec/9225529
