Yes, the old one is usually corroded to buggery. If your spending that much on the exhaust its false economy not to replace the clamp. It wouldn't be nice to hear you new exhaust dragging on the floor because the clamp failed!:eek:

Gates kits are very good! Also dayco belt kits are equally good and come with a good guarantee! They will cover all the costs should there be any failure issues so they must be confident with there product to offer that!

Cam pulley has a mark that points at 12 o'clock and the crank pulley has a mark that points at 6 o'clock. Your new timing belt should have 2 white lines on it, the whit lines line up with your 6 and 12 o'clock marks!:cool:

15 inch rims. It was on pi springs but not recommended. Back on standard ride height now. Getting too old for a bumpy bumpy ride. I do like the standard rims but their in dire need of a refurb..

Fred, i was given front shocks for a phase 2 172 instead of a phase one. I was in total agreement with the camber angle. fitted the correct shocks last nite and looks the dangly's. Andy@birchdown
