    Clio 172 Road Rally Car

Following with interest! I'd really like to have a go at a targa at some point. Have a few friends that do them and they look a lot of fun.

Interesting that he's sticking the knife into DT so openly. Not sure what to make of the Ford guy to be honest. Wasn't he also involved in "restoring" the pink ex-Max Power Escort? That all went south too as I recall. I can't say I'm surprised that DT tried to screw them though. Fernie knows...

Will Blurays and DVDs make a comeback.

Aside from a few diehards, I don't think so. Books and vinyl have seen something of a resurgence, but I think they're slightly different. Both offer a more tactile and engaging experience than their digital counterparts. For films, I think people generally just want convenience, and streaming...

I bet that wobbles like jelly at the slightest hit of a corner. I bet it's also hilariously good fun to cruise about in.

That's lovely. Really want a Cayman at some point. Would have one over most 911s

New French Tat, but it's not a Renault

The UK is motoring Nirvana compared to this place. If it's not potholes the size of a moon crater, its completely unmarked speed bumps that even a standard car can bottom out on. And that's before you even get to the driving standards, or lack thereof.

New French Tat, but it's not a Renault

I think that might just be an illusion, though I think they're set to 0 degrees from the factory. There is a little bit of wriggle room in the front damper bolts by the looks of it, so might try to max it out when the springs go on. The entirety of this country is a four-wheel drive track to be...

New French Tat, but it's not a Renault

I had a bit of a road trip to a site around 1hr outside of Jeddah on Friday, as a friend of mine is involved with a project to set up a new drifting/drag racing venue and he wanted to show it to us. A few stills of the Pug grabbed from some video (see @Waitey, there is sun here) : It...

And fitted: Definitely needs lowering, but Eibach only make the springs to order as no one modifies these, so still waiting for them.

Project Binky - mini 4x4 turbo celica engine

I think that's just who they are though. It's an experiment, a bit of fun, something for them to try things with. They're doing it because they can, not because it's necessarily the best way to do things. Let's face it, if they'd set out to build the best car ever, they wouldn't have built a...

Project Binky - mini 4x4 turbo celica engine

I mean, basically the whole project and video series is overcomplicated nonsense. There are YouTubers out there that have probably built 50 cars in the time it's taken BOM to get this far, so I don't think anyone should be surprised that they're still f**king about on stupid s**t.

Project Binky - mini 4x4 turbo celica engine

I think the thing to remember is that it's experimental, and a lot of it is done just to see if it can be done that way, or if they can do it. At the end of the day, it's still a hobby project, not an F1 car, so I can't begrudge them doing it their own way. The timescale is getting a bit old...

What's your favourite car related YouTube channel?

I mainly do stuff on YT/Instagram: www.youtube.com/@maximumattackrallying www.instagram.com/maximumattackrallying I did work for DirtFish.com for a few months, but it wasn't really for me. I prefer doing my own thing, though I do occasionally do some freelance for them among others. Got some...

What's your favourite car related YouTube channel?

Drivetribe was a car crash from day one. I was selected as one of the initial batch of content creators. They made loads of promises but it became apparent almost instantly that it was a c**k-up. They spunked all their money on fancy offices in central London, an army of software people, and on...

Don't you live up north? You should be used to the misery of the darkness.

New French Tat, but it's not a Renault

Thought I might as well update this, as had the car almost 11 months. It's been faultless to be honest. Does the daily grind perfectly well, so no real complaints. The auto 'box can be a bit clunky, but it's ok overall. I'd still prefer a manual but ho hum. Most impressive thing is probably the...

That looks like one of those shitty knock-offs from a video game that couldn't afford to licence real cars. The current Ferrari line-up is full of munters.

What's your favourite car related YouTube channel?

Haven't managed to get through a full episode yet. It's just four old farts whittering. Reminds me of The Intercooler. Andrew Frankel comes across as another pompous arse of a man. The problem with the blokes on the Harris one is that I just don't care what they think about anything. I know some...

What's your favourite car related YouTube channel?

I don't know how people watch it. It's become one of the worst automotive channels out there. Him and Taylor are really irritating and it's all just clickbait nonsense. One of those channels where hardly anything seems to happen in any of the videos.

The everlasting ph1 ITB Build **GREEN-BUILD STARTS AT PAGE 100**

Before making a final decision, why don't you actually do a track day in it? If anything is going to reignite your enthusiasm, it should be that. If it doesn't, you have your answer.

Sim Rigs - Let’s see yours

I wish I looked that cool. Also, I do miss Rally Germany from Dirt 2.0. It was a really good place to just arse about and practice a bit. EA WRC doesn't have anything like that.

Laguna hubs on the Clio Williams

If it's French stuff, it might be built to meet the regulations for the F2000 category. They're quite strict in terms of what you can and can't modify, so that might influence it. I seem to recall that F2000 requires the use of a standard subframe for example.

Ha, I confused myself. The other Rod is also involved in the rally scene too. Too many Rods! Can't actually remember what I bought from him now, must have been the best part of 10 years ago.
