Sim Rigs - Let’s see yours

Just ordered the new Moza R3 kit for the XBox. Proper direct drive unit, although only 4nm peak torque.

Added the brake pedal upgrade too, not a load cell unit but should still be a step up from what I’ve got now.

I'm sucking a lot too, I'm doing a bit of Oulton park had to DL mod track on AC and the Clio V cup, I find the 720 easier to drive on ACC. At least I know where I'm going @ oulton. Brandshatch on AC with the Audi S1 isn't bad, yet to get the first long bend right though.
I've been doing hot laps around Nurburgring GP over the weekend to get familiar with it it on ACC. I then did a couple of races against AI to increase my safety rating (still learning what all that means) and it was really enjoyable. I started in second and finished fourth but it felt like a victory to not make any contact and not lose too many places.
Having long term side effects of crashing (safety rating) really adds to the immersion for me.

Safety rating in ACC is all about being less than a second behind another car and not making contact.

What would be the best starter kit for a 4 year old? Guessing something like a G29? Any other options I don't know about? He spends every hour I let him sat on my lap steering so thought I'd get him something of his own.

That seems look a good price.

I’d like to get something but no idea where to start.
I have PS & Xbox so could use either

Logitech= starter?
Thrustmaster= slightly better?

Then the above and Fanatec?

I’ll be selling my G920 soon if that’s any use.

It’s very well reviewed, TBH given Fanatec’s current woes the Moza seems like the way to go for me, at least if buying new.

I set up the webcam head tracking yesterday to help with the limitation of having a single 16:9 monitor.
It’s a big help but I’m wondering if triples or ultra wide is the way to go? And if I go ultrawide, should it be curved?

Please don't judge :ROFLMAO:. This is my very temporary setup while I get the height and positions correct. I'm just bolting sections of ply into different locations so I know where I want everything when I make something better..

I fitted a real (fake Sabelt) wheel to my Logitech. It's clearly no Fanatec, but it's definitely made it better. Definitely worth it for the low outlay.

I've been waiting on these for ages! They teased them last year so it's good to see they're finally on the way.

Im surprised it’s taken this long to become a thing tbh. But fair play for them actually making something like this for the community.

Coooo! Very nice.

I'm definitely happy with my Moza R3, it's a step up from the Logitech G920 for sure. Just need to find the time and motivation to use the damn thing more!

A month or so ago we decided that our daughter could swap bedrooms to the bigger spare room where my rig lives (lived).

The walls are still pink but think it looks quite good. I have the PC next to the rig in an effort to avoid using UsB extensions.

Been offered a next level racing F-Gt with a thrustmaster t300 and pedals for £200..

Worth it as a first setup? Read that the rigs aren’t the best?

Please tell me you don’t actually wear those shoes to play??

🤣 I have to. The brake pedal is hydraulic so needs a lot of force to operate. In socks it destroys my foot.

Don’t worry though. Those shoes never leave the room 🤣

I wish I looked that cool.

Also, I do miss Rally Germany from Dirt 2.0. It was a really good place to just arse about and practice a bit. EA WRC doesn't have anything like that.

So the power supply for my Moza has died, by the looks of things. No power, doesn't light up. Checked the fuse in the plug too.

However I had an electrical inspection today and I'm fairly certain that it died when he did the IR testing. I look forward to the denials of liability and the faff required to get a new one, which apparently isn't even for sale on their website.

Didnt he unplug everything before he started testing? Its the standard practice.

Anyone bought anything from Fanatec in the last few weeks? Since they've been taken over by corsair? thinking it is about time to get the Load cell pedal and shifter.

What could go wrong.

Why don't you try it on again if they've been bought out?

Gave it a go....

Hi Everlie,

I just wanted to follow up on this as I now understand a little more the issues Fanatec were facing at the time of our email conversation and the situation you may have been in regarding my request for some compensation on the 9 month delay it took between order and delivery.

Now things are looking more positive with the Corsair take over and Fanatec hopefully looking to rebuild some confidence with customers, would you be willing to reconsider my case for some compensation?

Many Thanks,
