f**k that. Car's not even a year old. Probably seen 8 months out the showroom if it's lucky lol. I'm giving up cleaning if I need to start taking mirror bases off once a year 😂
I'm hoping a good coating helps. Thought black was difficult to keep clean...bright yellow is next level
Thought as much. Hoped there was a miracle product I was missing but nope 😂
Have plenty I could've used on it sooner, but I can never be arsed over winter lol. Went over with autofinesse aqua coat/lavish after I was done so that should help from now on.
This sounds like a daft question but is there an easy way to remove the dirt runs that end up down the doors from water that comes from the mirrors?
Had to resort to claying after a pre-wash, snow foam, contact wash and then going over with shampoo directly on the mitt as they still wouldn't...
Anyone know if an i7-4770k, 16gb Corsair Dominator Platinum DDR3 RAM and a Z87 mobo (can't remember the exact model) would still be worth anything in parts these days? Or even if it would be worth building up as a full system to sell. The mobo has a slightly bent pin but it's 100% fixable. It's...
It's maybe not that old compared to some, but I'm surprised at the lack of any mention of Half-Life in here! Still have the likes of that and Portal installed on my PC although not played it in a while.
Weird! I've certainly not seen any issues like that on the S21, so maybe they've managed to sort it with One UI 3.0.
Bixby in general is shite, but the routines side of it is brilliant. It's an 'if this then that' type thing but specifically for phone functions. Works really well.
Edit...
Has anyone had experience of claiming their free gift from Samsung (for earphones or anything) on previous releases like the S20, and know how long it usually takes to receive them?
I claimed for my buds pro and the smart tag thing on release day last week and the claim only just got approved...
I've not seen any issues with edge lighting so far but it's never something I've looked for tbf. I think I've seen what you're on about on my S10 previously. I hardly pay attention to notifications mind you and my phone is almost always on silent/DND apart from calls or messages from a few...
I noticed the trade in prices on the S20 series phones with carphone warehouse were actually lower than the S10 series. No idea why!
My S10 was the same. I never ever got anything close to what it was supposed to get. Was charging twice a day by the time I got rid of it last week, sometimes...
Mega impressed with the battery in this phone. Off charge yesterday morning about 8am and I've only just plugged it back in. 7 hours screen time including a bit of Spotify use in the background and stuff.
Seems like Samsung may finally have sorted out the shitty battery life on exynos models...
You can get USB-C memory card readers. Plug it into the bottom of the phone and transfer photos etc off onto a memory card as and when you like. I bought one when I done the North Coast 500 for getting the videos off my GoPro onto my phone and it worked a treat. Imagine it'd work just as well...
Got my Ultra yesterday, impressed so far. Not had much of a chance to test out the camera other than around the house but the optical zoom is pretty cool. The screen is awesome. The adaptive refresh rate thing makes it so smooth. Not even moved above HD resolution yet but it somehow still looks...
Went ahead and pre-ordered the S21 Ultra 256GB yesterday. 5G, 100GB, unlimited minutes/texts for £43 a month with £35 up front after my trade in with Vodafone. Seemed a good deal.
Excited for Friday now. Bit unsure about the size of it coming from an S10 but I'm sure I'll get used to it...
Looks like it's Vodafone's unlimited data plans that are speed capped (apart from the 'unlimited max' plan). Any plans with a data cap (like the 100gb plan CW are offering) have no speed caps. Makes more sense now tbf. Unlimited data is absolutely no use to me anyway, I just use WiFI everywhere...
Has anyone looked at the Vodafone plans that Carphone Warehouse are offering for the S21 range? The 100gb 5G plan they've got looks mega tempting for the Ultra. £365 up front and £43 a month, but they're offering £330 for trading in an S10 against it so it'd be £35 up front and £43 a month which...
Does anybody know if it's possible to have scratches polished out of the lacquer of a diamond cut alloy wheel face? Smart repair job? And does it actually look any good or just turn out s**t looking?
Mrs needed a new tyre on her car, and the tyre fitter has made a right c**t of it and scuffed...
I've had coil whine from running high FPS in games. Happens in menus etc if I unlock the frame rates. Could be the installer for RDR2 was running at a ridiculous frame rate and that's causing it? I've seen like 500-800fps on game menus and my GPU sounds like it's about to either take off or blow...
Yes mate, I went with the Titan in the end pretty much solely for the flatter base and it's probably the best decision I've ever made. Like @Darren S says it's been fantastic for WFH. I'm just annoyed I debated for so long on whether it was worth it or not!
I'm about 177cm so was right on the...
Problem with the Huntsman is the purple optical switches it comes with are clicky ones. Considered the Blackwidow Elite instead? They have the option of Razer orange switches (tactile and silent) which would be quieter than the Huntsman. Not optical mind you, just standard mechanical.
I bought...
If anyone is still looking, try pre-ordering through the store app on your existing Xbox if you've got one. I was on mines last night and was looking in the store and I managed to get all the way to the 'pay now' part for a Series X and had no warning about them being out of stock.
It might...
I have almost the exact same CPU/mobo setup (MSI B450 gaming instead, same CPU) with a 1070 and it'll run most games on ultra at 1080p 60fps so with a 1080ti that'll be ideal.
Make sure whatever RAM you buy is compatible with Ryzen CPUs as I'm sure they can be a bit funny with some stuff...
Nice one, cheers!
That's what I like to hear. The Omega is probably the best sized for me as well, but the Titan appeals that bit more with the flatter base and adjustable lumbar. I just hope it's not too big as I'm on the lower end of their sizing guide for it.
I've heard similar about the...
Nope, not until now lol! Just had a look, they actually look quite decent. How are they for sitting on all day? As much as it will be a chair for any PC gaming, it'll also be what I'm sat in all day WFH for the foreseeable future.
The only one they do with a flat base seems to be out of stock...
Yeah pretty much. The machines do nearly all the work from recovering old gas, leak testing and recharging refrigerant automatically. Can't remember if they actually add oil automatically or just measure the contents and the operator can then add as required but it's all covered anyway.
Also...
Any decent AC recovery/charging machine will add the correct amount of oil in with the refrigerant gas during the charge cycle. As long as the compressor is primed with oil prior to fitting you don't need to do anything else.
I had plastic ones that lasted one track day and decided to melt to the hub and I then couldn't get road wheels back on to drive home...
Try eBay. There were loads on there when I picked up an alloy set a while ago. Cheap too, only paid about a tenner IIRC.
So my pc stopped working a while back now and I came to the conclusion after much testing that the mobo and/or CPU had packed in. Eventually got round to replacing it all with some new kit this weekend and have just taken the old CPU off the mobo to find this...
Looks like a bent pin to me...
