Buy an engine with good compression my friend, if you’ve got that to play with. Just swap it out and replace all the serviceable parts before it goes in, its the smart play my friend.
I’ve genuinely never seen head gasket failure on an F4R - but blue smoke would indicate piston ring wear (oil in the chambers) - whats the status of the engine? Mileage/turbo charged etc?
I’ve a feeling whoever bought it has a serious car collection and gives not one singular f**k. The one my mate was delivering was heading into a car collection, in fact two other 22b’s were in there from memory. Madness to you and I, a tax avoidance tactic to those in the financial dark arts!
This one sold for £480,000. Insane to me given the stable you could have for that but obviously the market is there😵💫

Someone will have a used one lying about if you wanted to retain OEM, i’d fire a ‘wanted’ post up?
Thats amazing you’ve has the 182 all this time, is it in good order?
Stop messing about Robert, just tell us how you really feel m9 xx
Edit; that link is a f**king outrageous comparison, albeit real, out-f**king-rageous.
The market is hostile, very very hostile. Daniels bang on, it needs to be special and some how cheaper/differing to the market to sell.
Madness to think how the market has shifted the last 4 years.
Meh, i did dither on it but my wheel guy showed me the shade, its glorious.
In fairness, it is a bright yellow poof chariot, the wheel shade is a minor detail in all these f**king shenanigans Rab
