Sadly my experience of the trigger gun wasn’t quite as positive. It’ll be going back. Just managed to grab the hose as it came free under pressure before it hit the wife’s car.
QR trigger, extended (15 metre) hose from qwashers (eBay), Essence plus and a spare finishing pad as I plan to top up the other half’s ceramic coating once the weather improves.
I’m about to renew my insurance and move to a new provider. They’ll give me an agreed value but they need a formal valuation. One specialist has failed to get back to me despite chasing and not sure where to try next?
Any ideas?
Karcher K3.575. Bought A grade over 10 years ago and hasn’t missed a beat. Used weekly and for occasional patio washing duties. I had a Nilfisk once and it lasted a few months.
Only hiccup with mine was when I ran the outlet pipe over and had to replace it. Easy enough job.
When it dies I’ll...
All refitted. OE ignition leads from Engine Dynamics and all the terminals and connectors I could reach cleaned up while I was there.
Fuel flap stickers also fitted and then back into the garage. No road trips at the moment 😥
So with bugger all to do in the way of driving it, started on a mild tidy up of the engine bay. ECU cover painted, repair bracket fitted, inlet manifold, fuel rail and can cover painted.
I’ve also started repainting the spare calipers in Hammerite per @frayz suggestion - thinned it down to...
Owned mine for almost 5 years and it’s going nowhere. There’s nothing else for the money that would do what it does and even with what I’ve spent, which is probably 50/50 routine versus making it pretty, I’d still struggle to find anything comparable. And even then I’d end up doing exactly the...
Has anyone used these? I don’t know how old my genuine leads are and figured while I’m tidying up and painting stuff I might as well replace after the misfire issue I had last year. I replaced coilpack but like everyone haven’t done many miles in the car since...
Thought some of you guys might be interested in an interview I did just before Christmas.

Cheers bud - I haven’t fitted yet but will bear that in mind. I have silver Hammerite 👍
I didn’t know that sir - thanks. As above, not refitted yet so hopefully I can rescue with a couple of coats of Hammerite!
Repainted intake pipe fitted - looks neater. Took her out for a quick spin around the block at the weekend as she hasn’t run in a while. Now back in the garage as lockdown v3.0 looms. Engine bay tidy up will be the next job.
Started on a few winter projects.
Firstly the front calipers. Mine are Hammerite’d and look OK but I bagged a set from here, had them acid washed and vapour blasted. Picked them up today, chucked them in the oven for a few minutes then 2 coats of VHT silver. Makeshift paint booth was even...
Skirts refitted today. Rivnuts attached to sill, loads of Waxoyl added and stainless bolts to finish. Jacking points look OK and better than before plus I know it’s protected.
Just put a set on my daily. 18’s and came in under £300 all in through Costco. Watched the whole process and came away mighty impressed. They seem to work well in the wet - night and day better than the Bridgestones they replaced 👍
Skirts off today. Good news is that the sills appear solid and rot free. Kinda knew that from looking at them when the car was last in the air. Not so great was trying to straighten the front jacking points as they were crushed almost flat. Driver’s side hasn’t come out too badly but passenger...
