Thanks guys and yeh I paid £3750 and he refunded my £61.50 train ticket and a full tank of fuel :-) bargain in my eyes and 94k is hardly high mileage.
It drives brilliantly, still getting used to having actual power again and i haven't nailed it yet but it feels like its on rails!
Sweet...
Morning all,
So as some of you already know I bought an Audi A1 and after driving it it slowly but surely destroyed my back, this was the final push for me to get rid of all of the finance and PCP deals in my life and actually own a car again for once, luckily Audi are a client at work so I got...
Might keep them grey then and yeah he is also picking me up from cardiff station which is good I suppose.
I saw this and rang the guy but it looks a bit ropey and the guy was a bit of a **** on the phone when I asked about the belts
Thats the one, I didnt see the piston heads advert. we do some of there marketing at work and he knows I'm after a 182 so he rang me and emailed me some photos.....
just noticed the grey wing mirrors, are they supposed to be yellow?
cant tell if sarcasm :s
he sent me a long email saying its in mint condition etc, told me about a stone chip on the bumper and that's it, rang him and told him if I make the 4 hour train journey to where the car is and its a nail I will be putting his head on a stick (said it in a much less horrible way) he is also...
Paying a deposit on a Clio 182 in LY tomorrow, it also has both cup packs and a carbon front splitter with 93k on the clock and FSH, been told it's in perfect condition and has a K-Tec Racing exhaust, K-tec coilovers, the belts were done at 55k (I think he said 55k) so just wondering when they...
thanks, yeh another friend has a 172 cup and I'm not overly keen on the seats in it, just looking forward to getting in one and enjoying driving again.
really appreciate this replay mate, I want a 182 with cup packs, found a lovely dark blue one and black one not too far from me so going to check them out next week
yeh he has the half leather seats and they seemed fine to be honest, I don't want a cup because I've been told is has no cruise control or xenons (i might be wrong, i know nothing about 1*2s) and i would really like xenons and cruise
Only annoying thing about a black one is how dirty they get...
well it doesn't seem to have the splitter or spoiler.
I want ideally either LY, racing blue or black, both cup packs and belts done, is it hard to find such cars for around the 3500 mark?
I've driven a guy from works 182 and it was fine his is a full fat though with no cup packs and it's a bit of a shed to be honest, drove it to London and it was great, no back ache at all where as in the Audi i get back ache halfway down the road, my dad is driving the Audi more than me and even...
So I bought the Audi A1 earlier in the year and I love the car but it's impossible for me to drive it. A combination of the suspension, seat and my height (6'4") make even driving 2 miles to the shop a very very painful journey and I've had to have over 3 hour of physio on my back to get it back...
Ben your S3 is lovely btw
Pick it up Thursday on a 12 plate so really looking forward to it, spoke to a guy who has done the same as me and gone from his Abarth 500 to the A1 and said the drive is so much better day to day, a lot comfier, smoother and generally a nicer place to be
yeh i just find it the easiest way to get a new car, if i wanted a 10 year old bmw obviously I wouldn't even look at finance but i like having a new car every now and again, addicted to new car smell haha
very true and i think the engine is perfect really, enough power on the motorway and more...
i probably will get bored but oh well!!
my finance situation is fine.....i have 3 direct debits out of my account each month, my PCP on the car, my mobile phone and my MMA gym membership. hardly massive outgoings!
yeh that is the downside but i will just hand it back at the end.
3 years, Audi put £750 towards it as well or £750 off the car. same either way you look at it
trying to get discount on an audi is a f**king nightmare. been in sales 5 years and even I struggled! getting 2k off my clio a few years back was easy as anything but audi is whole different ball game
Actually my clio was owned outright but after that yeh the megane was part financed and my abarth was PCP, PCP really is the only way to buy a new car, pay monthly for it and give it back at the end, job done lol no big outgoing and get to drive a fairly nice car
