Re: E36 v2
Is the power loss quite noticeable in your experience then? I certainly don't think it's beyond me to repair, it's more the fact that it's a daily and so can't be out of use for more than one day really.
Re: E36 v2
Incredible. You make it look so easy! How difficult is it to renew the Vanos unit? Mine sounds like it's getting worse, and I'm sure I've noticed a drop in power (although I might have just gotten used to it I guess.)
My first MX5
Absolute heap of rust, leaked, s**t tyres... But my god was it awesome fun! Drove the nuts off it and it just felt indestructible. Shame it ended up eventually being destroyed. Lol.
My next MX5's were never quite the same. :(
Got a GoPro for Christmas, just been having a little play - thought the exhaust would be a good test subject :approve:
Suction mount is on the way... :clown:
Yeah, genuine ones.
Sizes are exactly the same so other than tyre sizes they'll fit exactly the same. (I'm on 225's on the front and 245's on the rear)
It's fine. Only issue I've ever had was yesterday when I ran over a large rock (no chance to avoid it). It made a lot of noise, hit a load of s**t underneath but the sump was untouched. As Jord said, other stuff would hit the ground first. Main issue is the tyres coming into contact with the...
Bilstein dampers with eibach springs. So yeah, it'll be similar. And I'm hoping to track it eventually, but I'll be investing in some better suspension when that happens. This is pure daily spec at the moment, need to buy a shitter for my commute to work so I can start making this thing proper!
Hai.

Yes it's black. Unfortunately just the one, but it's so so cheap! Can always get another one at a later date anyway.
Really unsure whether to bother putting on the rear 'coilovers'. The gap between the arch and tyre is fairly similar as it is now, so I'm not sure there's really much point... Also possible awesome seat content on the way...
Re: E36 v2
I'm north east Manchester, so probably not all that far away. Welcome to have a go sometime, although I'm a bit busy this weekend!
As above, North East, in Oldham. Commute to Bury every morning and sometimes I'm around Trafford.
Re: E36 v2
I've got Joms. They're not as good as HSD's/similar, obviously, but for £180ish they're certainly not bad. I don't drive the car hard though tbh, I imagine they're crap at anything other than pootling/motorway s**t.
Also, you've seen my ride height Dan, I've still got a good 6cm...
Re: E36 v2
I imagine it'd be worth getting the cheaper ones TBH. They're more aimed at daily use AFAIK. Not sure if they're as adjustable as the more expensive ones though so I dunno...
