Re: E36 v2
Fair answer!
This project seems to be a little less "all-out" than your previous ones. And I'm not trying to say you've skimped in any way, because there's clearly been a lot of time and money spent, I just get the impression that you've learnt a lot from the Clio and previous...
Re: E36 v2
Is there any reason why you've chosen not to gut the interior? All your previous track cars have been thoroughly stripped and caged etc. Just wondering!
Re: E36 v2
Not done one yet - I've not really documented anything tbh. I can't really be arsed :dapprove:

Anyway. Enough hijacking!
Re: E36 v2
Yeah, had it around two months now and I've broken it already. Snapped a hub bolt trying to fit s**t coilovers. Meh! Two front hubs set me back £30 posted, so who cares
Re: E36 v2
That's fair enough then. I'm more than happy at the moment It just feels slightly strangled at the top end. Power tails off very quickly! Thanks for the info anyway
Re: E36 v2
Do you not need more than just an M50 inlet and remap to get to 230ish? I was under the impression you needed US M3 cams, exhaust and an enclosed filter to make those sort of figures?
Is there any torque loss with the manifold swap? From what I've read you lose a little bit of low...
Just an FYI I bought mine with M3 wheels, heated seats, no rust other than the bootlid on 133k for 1400 quid. No idea on what kind of condition yours is in, but 2k is strong money for one!
Looks good though! Lose the fogs and get an Import plate holder and plate IMO. Some sort of Splitter always neatens up the front end. I had a Fabia one on mine - the one that everyone puts on their Clio's. Looked better than without one - perhaps not as good as an OEM one or a GV one, but then...
Poor thing :(
Absolutely gutted for him. Went to hospital with him for a checkover and he's fine which is the main thing. Just got to decide where to go from here... its not the end though I'm sure!
