Oh yay, another pointless insurance thread. Each of you brings a COMPLETELY different risk to the insurer, so it is utterly pointless comparing quotes.
I'd look at maybe getting a one trick pony lens like an 18-200 mate, and just sticking it on the D40. IMO it's really the only way you're going to get an SLR to cover most situations if you're only planning on taking one lens.
I take it that these are screw in, rather than drop in gents? I'll have a look about. Ideally looking for a ND grad before anything, if anyone has any recommendations :)
Matt, how do you find the polariser at, say, 10mm mate? Any issues with the blue sky's looking uneven, or anything?
