Had a go at headlight restoration today......................with toothpaste :tongueclosed:
Watched a few reviews on youtube, and a few appeared to get good results. Thought why not give it a go.
I got some Morrisons Whitening 'gritty' toothpaste for £1, wetted the headlight after a quick clean...
You don't have to pay that much! I've just got a pair for £43 off ebay
Thats definately true, I've just fitted one of my Powerflex poly bush mounts today. The bolt helps to hold the mount into the hanger.
I've got a KTec/Janspeed cat backsystem.
I can take some pictures tomorrow if you...
Took a few pictures earlier today.
Bodywork is in very good condition, not immaculate but good enough for me. Only washed it so far, will give in a proper polish soon.
Exhaust rear mounts are shot at! Got Powerflex replacements going on today.
The headlights are cloudy around the...
Hi,
I've been looking for a nice little fun second car for a while now. After looking at many different cars, I finally settled on a 182
Managed to find a really nice, low mileage Full-fat Black 182 last month.
I've owned it for a few weeks now, and I'm about to start making some subtle...
Just been looking for 2No axle stands and found these.

I know its not a top dollar setup, but for an occasional spanner monkey like myself, I don't think its too bad.
Anyone bought one? :)
I've been there and got that t-shirt 😂
I don't want to tread on anyone's toes, being a newbie and all :) I don't know how you lot organise such events / who makes the calls / options etc. Just threw the initial idea out there :)
Wakefield or Sheffield I don't mind
Is that the one right next to the A46? The outdoor track? It looks mega but it's a fair distance away sadly I suspect.
Not sure about PPIK. When I went to Wakefield, we did 10 mins qualifying. Followed by 30 min race. 40 mins on track for £35 is good value to me
If we get a good few...
This is my own personal opinion, so please feel free to put your own opinion forward :)
Maybe open a poll for everyone's fav track?????
Bradford - ok track, bit short and karts were tired. But it's at least 7 years since I've been, and it's got new owners now.
PPIK - great facilities, good...
Another thing to consider are the suspension bushes. Are they standard, in good condition? Have you replaced them with poly bushes or similar?
The ultimate for track use would be rose jointed suspension. But considering its still a road car, that would be impractical, as rose joints would...
Have you kerbed the wheels badly? That could have thrown the alignment out. I doubt it myself.
Probably needs more camber..........or you need to turn down your enthusiasm :tongueclosed::up:
I agree. On a track you push the limits of the suspension much more beyond its intend design....road.
Get the alignment checked, adjusted with camber bolts and youll see an immediate improvement. When I had my 200SX, I updated the suspension (Nismo) but all was not right. I got a proper...
Any of you fancy going karting?
I've searched our area and found a few threads, but nothing recent.
I've been to a fair few in our area, as I'm sure you guys and gals have too.
Bradford karting - http://www.uk-go-karting.com/tracks/yorkshire/bradford-kart-racing
PPIK in Leeds -...
Yes would be a good idea haha. I'm in Halifax but I'm prepared to travel within our region to get a good job :)
What price do you pay? I've never had wheels refurbed before, is it a set price?
Can any of you good folk recommend a place to get my wheels refurbed?
I'm going to stick with the original anthracite colour, maybe a little darker but not black.
