We were having a chat about the same thing at Goodwood this morning as we started off discussing the 750 MC K-Tec series saying it was too limited to parts supplied from one place and other products are available or already installed. Those of us with earlier 172s would have to buy new cars for...
Great review Josh. As one of the Clios you overtook I could see the car suited you and you were certainly getting the best out of it. It certainly seemed to handle well and surprised quit a few dedicated track cars there. Shows what happens when you put a top driver in a standard car. Who was...
I started with a 182 and loved the experience completely. Traded up to an R27 and spent months regretting it. The car was more refined but lacked the raw edge the 182 had. Bought a panda 100 hp and rediscovered the joy of chuckability. Last year I bought my Ph1 and built the track car I wanted...
I have a few collections including the whole DeAgostini Rally series all 70 of them. I also have over 50 Corgi Minis. Have managed to get a few Clios in 1/43 scale.
The Phase 1 V6s
The S1600s
The 172 Clio cup racers
The re-painted 182
Where they all live
Cheers Chip nice shot of me being passed there. For a shakedown run I thought my car handled well and the more time I spent on track the harder I pushed it. Look forward to seeing the RB when it's done.
What a great day we had at FCS. The car got there with no issues and went off for breakfast. Checked in to register for a passenger pass as Chris had offered to take me out in his Ph1. asked if they had any track time left and was offered several choices. They had one slot left for the 2 hour...
Great pics Andy and a nice one of mine and Chris' ph 1s. Shame your lens gave up the ghost for track shots. For once didn't take too many pics. Just a few of mine.
A few non Clios
Looked good as always, shame about the position would have been better to be more central for the track and everything else going on. Well done for all involved in setting up and dismantling everything.
Anthony don't think you have to declare anything to Vosa it should be picked up by the MOT inspector. Sounds like you had a good one who was aware of the guidelines.
On a lighter note I no longer have a pissed steering wheel. Took it back to Wheel Alignment Centre and Nick threw it on the...
As the car has airbags removed that would be a failure on normal MOT regs. Vosa issued guidance in April to cover rally cars and highly modified cars to cover this. It stated that cars fitted with a roll cage, bucket seats, harnesses and aftermarket steering wheel should be MOT'd to cover this...
Tony you know it's French so expecting more. It's got a crunch in third gear now and the steering wheel Isn' t straight.
Will take my helmet in case they do have spare track time or the usual someone breaks their car and needs to get rid of some time.
I will be going to French Car Show in the French Car. Thanks Mike for sorting out my wiring loom to cure the problem with the temp gauge not working. Too late to put it on track though so will be in the clio car park.
No updates for over a month but things have been happening. Finally sorted out the rattling exhaust. Someone had done the cable tie a socket to the rear exhaust mount. So decided to buy a new mount and did the fill it with Tiger seal to make a solid mount, Seems to have done the trick as rattle...
Went to the scrappy and got a jack, handle and aluminium interior door handles all for £15.00. Spent half an hour cleaning the spare wheel after checking for a puncture. Put the door handles on.
I'm just about ready to commit to going can someone remind me what day its on.. At least I don't need to book time off. Thinking about doing track as well if I get my steering sorted..
