So the TD04 charger has now been installed and delivers the power nicely. No more oil pressure warning light either. Next up will be a good detailing session so time to start product shopping

Possible but like you say, the availability of the alternative is far greater.

I wanted to do a similar thing but in the end we opted for up & down lights on a timer and a led flood light on its own sensor for security lighting. Its discreet and lights up far better than the spots lights do

I'm genuinely surprised by the positive response to the Saab and also how the cliosport community welcome alternative cars and topics which is often absent from other forums.

Apparently a far more reliable turbo than the Garrett GT17 which is now only useful as a paper weight.

Bulkhead is looking crack free There are some choice mods to improve the chassis on the Saab which i'll be doing in the coming months

I'd image a combination of wrong oil and lack of oil changes, but this is now going to change. I'm toying with the idea of fitting a double din and from what i can see it all looks like standard ISO connectors. I'll look into this further when its up and running.

While the track Clio is tucked away hibernating for winter I've been playing with my Saab Turbo. Bit of a marmite car but to me i see a cool 90's car, plus it used to belong to a friend of mine that sadly passed away ealier this year. It had been sat for over 6 months before i pick it up and...

Difficult to prove what the cause of failure was but I reckon its mainly down to giving the car a hard life on track and having the overrun map. I'm not defending the overrun map but it has been on the vehicle since 2007

Surely you can just replace the track rod end? Can see why you'd need to replace the hubs

The overrun map is a likely culprit. The RS Turner software showed the ecu being remapped back in 2007 so its lasted well to be fair
