Hi Bloke,
Strange you mention that. My spare key wasnt working, and didnt seem to have the “click” in it anymore. I took it apart and put a microswitch on from a spare key i had, and it works, yet it still doesnt have the “click”. Does that make sense?
I picked up another spare key yesterday...
When i serviced the clio last year i couldnt get the fuel rail gaurd off and it was a pain removing the oil filter! It only had one bolt on, and i ended up rounding it off during my attempts to remove it. It was also a 13mm and im sure standard are 10mm. It was last took off and put back on by...
Have just been out and tried, and it does actually start the car. I can unlock from the door with the key too.
Not sure what that means then? Just the remote part that unlocks / locks is broke?
Not tried that mate, didnt want to risk messing something up?
Luckily my spare key is working so i can still use the car, but i need to have 2 keys so need this broken one sorting.
I opened the washing machine to find my clio key had been in with the clothes. The key is no longer working at all so imassuming the water has damaged it.
Anyone know where the best place would be to get a copy key made up? Is it Renault only and should i be sitting down when i hear the price?
I paid £80. The bumper is shocking, looks like it was originally an inferno. I will try and sell it on but im keeing the spoiler and splitter. I might take the grill etc off the bumper and store that away too.
Almost a year since i last updated in here. Time flies....
The 182 passed its MOT a few weeks back on 86980. I only cover around 1k a year now, and that is sinply to keep it running and the fluids moving.
It has just ticked over to 87k
I noticed a front bumper on ebay being sold by a local...
Hi all,
I can not remove the fuel rail. When trying to get the bolt off nothing is happening so i think it may have lost the edges!
Any idea how i can go about getting the bolt off to be able to remove the fuel rail?
Thanks for the detailed reponse.
I have zero brake fitting knowledge so think i will have to book it into a garage. My rear brakes are not working (i dont think) Rear passenger disc is all rusty (rather than just the lip around it) not sure what the problem is but imagine they will need taking...
Detailing deals are brutal all year round! Wouldnt mind the same thing myself. 10% isnt enough of a discount to splash out.
I was looking today on some of the main sites and you can get the individual items including postage for cheaper on eBay! Never mind putting 5 items in your basket then...
Tbf they only covered around 30k as i put coilovers on when it was 4 years old. Put the standard supension back on last year but rear shocks were no good. Front and all springs are perfect though.
Thats what caused mine to happen! It had been "off the road" for 6 months. I started it every week on the drive but as it was sorned it sidnt get a run out. After a few months the battery / stop light started to flicker and it would struggle to start. I put a new battery on thinking that was the...
This happened to mine earlier in the year. Had reverves odd the drive to give it a wash, filled the bucket up and started cleaning the wheels and could smell smoke. Quickly realised it was coming from the bonnet.
Is the car used daily?
It is in the garage today getting done, and was always going to be done regardless of what was said in here. I posted out of general interest on the thoughts of others.
I rang the garage, they changed their systems last year and couldnt remember if it had been done by them but they did say it...
You clea
Danny, you win. Im not here for an argument.
It was a genuine question. Im an original member on here, not a new younger user. (Dont actually know what the "m9" banter is about, but i assume its a way of mocking people, prosumable the you ger generation)
I am fully aware you can...
That is a very naughty friend. Good thing i have noticed recently is that oil filters are dated so its easy to check. Plus you can tell if an oil filter has been changed within a year anyway. Airfilter is another good way of checking, when i viewed this one i took it out and could see it matched...
Wrong bloke. It has full service history, just nothing to proove a major service. A very decent family who i bought it from, just not petrol heads. And Im glad they were honest and said they didnt think it had been done rather than lie and say it was.
