To be fair, and in conclusion to this thread I decided to go to RS tuning and get a proper remap. I'll attach the graph but I'm sure it speaks from itself.
I don't personally believe an RS Tuner map is anywhere near as good tbh as the amount of times he tweaked it and amount of power runs...
Yeah, it's just a button to click through the speedlimiter, I.e if you wanna go faster very quickly for some reason you just click it down. Sort of like kickdown in an auto.
Tbh mate just go H&R or Eibach. I wouldn't entertain anything less when it's connected to the wheels. You'll be worrying all the time and especially when pushing on etc.
The stiff shift 3 is adjustable, perhaps you have it slightly too tight anyway mate in the adjuster bit under the gearstick gator?
For the first few hundred miles I had them all 4 fully unscrewed. Still mega stiff but persevere and it'll bed in. You can then tighten the Alan screws up to what...
I've seen @gally mention britemax vantage numerous times so thought I'd punt and buy it.
The shine and application is absolutely unreal. Incredible. You'll get a good couple of months out of it too. Really is an epic wax.
b*****d. I can't make this Sunday mate. Having the clutch done next Wednesday too. Did you have the clutch cable changed when you had your clutch done?
I think a grand is slightly unrealistic for a sport mate. You'll get one, but it won't be nice enough for your main car if that's what you're after. It'll probably need the belts doing and be cosmetically rough i would imagine, or have moon mileage.
Ensure the belts have been done every 5 years...
Exactly mate.
Think it's just the want of a tyre that's not going to crack before I've worn it out!
The NS2R do look great. I'd imagine in the hard compound for the road.
Very well worded.
I get you. Very popular with the Rx8's too but think they have a great dual mass thing that takes an earth to spin. Big difference then I suppose.
It's a weekend car but I don't want it to become unusable. It's a loud little thing and I love it despite it being a wanker...
Ah right mate.
Just had the car mapped at RS TUNING so wouldn't fancy that. Might leave it. Looking at 250 ish quid for the flywheel so ill probably leave it then.
Sounds more of a track car kina thing then really.
Think my 182 will be getting the full clutch change treatment shortly. Whilst it's all to bits, would I be silly to not put in a lightweight Flywheel? Seen as though this'll probably be the last time the clutch is out of the car and it's obviously labour less to slap it in.
I know @NorthloopCup...
I've just had a week in robin hoods bay mate. Plenty of time haha. I've bought all sorts lol. Not used to having time to sit and look at stuff hahaha!
I'll stick with the pilot sports.
Next question.
Mine are 205's, what effect would buying 195's have? Would it reduce the offset and bring...
Hahaha. Yeah probably wasn't the best thread title. I just like the fact some track tyres get excellent reviews and they're obviously cheaper and look awesome lol.
They're fantastic tyres. Never ever had any issues. Got Pzero's on the back but this is how the car was when I bought it.
I only...
Ah. Haha. Yeah. I've got a pretty loud setup so I know what you mean.
The tread patterns mate, the 180 tread pattern is the 'hard' so I wondered if they'd be best for the road opposed to their softer one which I worry may wear a bit quick?
182 FF, standard wheels.
The car is currently on above size.
The car's running Pilot Sport 3's on the front and they're incredible. P Zero Nero's on the rear. The fronts are wearing down and will be due some soon.
I do about 5k miles a year, often not even that as it's simply a nice dry day...
