Oh s**t lol. That's going to be dear. You do know the woes with the 197 box? If it's from a garage I'd probably try send it back. It's gonna need a rebuild I would say
To be honest it depends if you want a nice one or not really.
I got my BG 182 for over 3k, but it does have the factory fitted recaros. Haven't had a problem with it in a year of ownership either. I've spent on it because I wanted to, that doesn't count though.
Don't budget too low, you'll...
The other problem to anyone who wants one is despite the fact that they are "231" bhp, they don't make anywhere near that. They make nearer 190 to 200 on a good day. My dad's series one (same as this) wasnt anywhere quicker than my 182. In fact it was slower.
His r3 with its different box etc...
The problem is the car you've just sold had the mazdapspeed kit mate. Really rare! That kit can be worth a grand to the right person! They don't make it anymore and it's the only body kit that looks oem. Was it a guy called Ben who bought it by any chance?
Have you recently driven the car in a lot of rain or have you been in some wet weather very recently or when it started?
I only ask because I had a similar issue. I was told to open the fuse box and check the big white connector (you can't miss it) I think it's to the ECU. Just unplug it and...
Cheers for such a good reply mate.
What pads would you purchase to perhaps give me different angles of attack with the existing polishes I already have?
What replacement pad brands are best? The chemical guys ones seem okay, what about others though? Not clued up on pads
I currently have the autofinesse Revitalise kit but feel there could be better polishes out there for my application.
The car doesn't really have any deep marks just surface swirls etc.
I've heard about an anti hologram polish, feel that may do the trick. Would I be wise to invest in some...
Will do lol. Just trying to tidy it up in there as the car's pretty much there in most other ways, I've gone with a pretty awesome strut brace which adds some feature to it but the engine looks s**t tbh. Lol. Yours looks very well sorted mate looks brilliant.
I took my mates corsa front bumper off yesterday, at midnight to put some new sidelights in for him. Haha what a mistake. At 1 in the morning, having all but 1 bolt off I realised I wasn't, and will never be mechanically minded.
I think the pivotal moment was when I had sheared 3 bolts off and...
Haha what a kind offer, I would say yes to that mate but would feel a bit gay asking lol XD.
I don't know whether to polish or spray it black or something.
I haven't got any paints or f**k all yet though :(
Like a newspaper or something just lay it over? Would I be stupid to just polish the wanker up? Would that take too much doing? Ah, I suppose if it's only air then cant be so bad lol. I hate touching things incase I break them.
Right mate lol, I honestly wouldn't want to screw it up, do you just unscrew the obvious bolts and pull the hose out the back? Is it fitting the reversal? Wouldn't I be safer to buy some new gaskets maybe? What would I go for if I did?
Don't you need new gaskets and s**t though? Won't it like leak or anything? Hahaha.
I fancy doing the job right I just don't want to make a mess of the bloody thing and yet to find a decent enough guide to give me enough confidence to do it :/
Want to paint the fuel rail, possibly metal section of throttle body and the engine rocker cover.
Don't really fancy removing it as I reckon I'll screw something up.
Can it be done neatly in situation?
Would I just clean it or something then paint some high temp paint on there?
Tbh I got a garage to fit mine mate, he said it wasn't the easiest thing as the bushes etc needed cutting to fit and the like. Awesome but of kit, very stiff until it beds in for the first week or so though so don't hate it before you tried it (like I did)
The yanoo stiff shift is incredible. It isn't a linkage though, it replaces the ball insert in the car. It is amazing. Pretty much bolt action rifle feel to it, dependant on how stiff you like it. It keeps the car oem too.
You can run it for a higher feel with the extended gear leaver from the...
I wouldn't even entertain this mate, I'm sorry but if it's been running a turbo then an engine swap then the belts have been changed without the dephaser been done, all slaps me as been done cheap, used and abused.
Surely it had solid mounts etc running that much power so why's the engine...
