The light is designed to come on with ignition, and if resistor is fitted correctly, should turn off a few seconds later
Doesn't pretty much every harness you buy come with eye bolts that are UNF thread, so pretty common I thought?

I wouldn't do the wheels black. As proved by your photoshop it just makes the tyres look ugly and dirty

When I worked for Halfords I fitted a Ripspeed one (Don't ask) into a Ph2 Clio.
You'll be able to find space, there is lots of room behind dashboard, heater controls, etc. Even if you just velcro the units tucked right up in the footwell...
