Is your cv boot in tact? I've got a similar squeak/squeal noise from mine, same side too, and I'm sure it's the cv joint as my boot has a split in it so will've run dry. Just a thought.

They've said it's just a slight 'weep' so really hope it's something that can wait until the belts are due again. Only on 57,000 and the belts were not done that long ago. Hmmm

My 172 is in with Ktec this morning for a decat and powerflex engine/gearbox bushes and they've told me that there is a slight leak from the water pump. Anyone have any experience with this? Wondering what's involved with sorting it, new seals, whole new pump, belts at same time, best solution...

My headlights were looking pretty dire to be honest, with pitting, yellowing and a very hazy look to them, you can't really tell from the photos how bad they were. That's a right shitter that is! Yeah it is proper awkward getting in there to change them, I couldn't even get a hold of the holder to pull it out, had to just pull on the wires and hope for the best. Hope you manage to sort it mate.

Umm, they should do mate!? Advertised and sold as w5w so should just push in. They were a bit tighter to push in and I had to make sure they were square on to the holder. Only worked one way round too. Hope you get them in ok!

Got my new plates on the car today and managed to find some decent RS surrounds to fit them with. No more drilling plates, and surrounds just screwed straight on with existing holes. Plates fit in them perfectly and the retaining clipped strip at the bottom works very well too. I'm impressed and...

@guysy It's a new thing for me and they haven't been on my car for long so can't comment on the longevity of them. Read many posts on here and the reviews were all good though. Fingers crossed they'll last.

I've started to get used to it now lol. I'm ok with it now I know what it is and that it's sort of normal and nothing's wrong. I'll tag in in the other thread so you can read. Apparently you can stop it!
