Screwfix are doing a cordless Combi drill with 2 5ah and charger and case for £170.
Last time it was £140 so just bought that and sold the drill charger and case for £70. Makes for cheap batteries!

Can get a steel rule between the barrel and caliper. Did a couple of races on them no problem. But did have to mount the weights on inside of the wheel.

Makita dtw300 is my go to for pretty much anything also have the dtw1002 for when things get serious. I just have the £100 Sealey battery ratchet as the Makita one is a bit chunky.
As said above though the dtw700 looks decent just no personal experience.
