Nope everything out, tar / quilt the lot (except the pad on the roof, that's still in)........ It still has full glass, window motors, the air con rad in the bulkhead, inners of doors etc, so probably a good bit to Come out yet, Scorpion exhaust carries two back boxes and the centre one as...
Nah that was me standing I the weigh bridge office.... That was standard trophy, full interior removal, full safety devices cage, 2 sabalt cup racer seats and a fire extinguisher....... I really do need to weigh it again now
Last time mine was weighed it was 1040kg with half a tank, since then it's lost the air con rad, pipes etc, inlets in lieu of itb's etc..... But I really need to get it re weighed..... And I really need to remove more bits and metal!!
@Fraser.J. was weighing in at 895 before the fibreglass boot...
They would do mate..... I weighed up all the factors and couldn't justify based on the braking power I get from the existing with good pads......
They do look pretty though:hearteyes:
Hi john, was looking at the flamer the other day at Stu's, very nice mate and drives an pulls very well...... Hopefully this will be no different, can wait to see it at knockhill.
RB was my choice before the trophy turned up..... They just look special!
I'll not make it mate, cars still in storage and the way this weather going I think it'll be there until the end of March!!..... A lot of the mate were all set for today's one, but the snow soon cancelled that!
I ran GAZ GHAs before switching to ASTs. They were standard spring rates and that was my only concern but as Coilovers go I couldnt fault them and they were generally good and handled knockhill well. I believe the bodies are painted now so they don't tarnish after 2 months use and end up...
Still love the look of these, particularly in that colour...... Side stickers don't do it for me though.
Being a detailing freak, I appreciate cars that are standard and very clean and for its age, knowing how suseptable to rust those are, that is very nice
i'll have to give them more thought mate. I've had DS2500's before and wasn't a fan, for road yes and possibly a wet track day but that's as far as they would go. George did explain them as being the opposite end of the spectrum to the Ds.1.11s so it sounds like they may be a good choice!
Pads wear evenly, marginal difference between inner and outer. We are all roughly the same at knockhill. Fraser has similar issues with the phase 1 on rc6,s too. They seem to disappear quick. The trophy is certainly heavy and it only ever does runs with passengers in, so car, me, fuel and...
Yeah they do mate. Knockhill is particularly hard on brakes. Generally every 3 to 4 track days based on 70ish laps an outing..... Work well, but don't half eat the wheels (powdercoat).
I'm still trying to justify the cost of ds1.11s, have heard good things but the rc6's have never let me...
A quick update FYI on Knockhills hot hatch track days..... These are Knochills provisional listed events so they may be subject to change. No open days or track nights are listed yet and there will be other track days / nights through private organisers (monster / trackscotland / etc.) as...
No, the Clio is just the weapon of choice for Knockhill (as you'll know). One of the sessions last year got a commentary by the Knockhill marshals in the office as it was like a full on Clio race. In the height of the summer you will find a group of 12 ish guys who come from the west for racing...
You'll get out with plenty of Clios, we had almost 20 in 1 session last year ;).
I'll be heading up for the grant rally event Stuart so might see you up there.....
This was seen at the last knockhill outing of the year being towed home..... Have no idea what for, could have been something very simple of course.....
