I can't see how it's over rated...Nor can i see how it's any more of a handful than a 3.0l Zed. The Z4's biggest flaw is the chassis, full stop. The damping in particular is very poor!
My insurance went up c£200!! Which was a bit hard to swallow!
Other than that, running costs are the same as the Z4M...Fuel is much for muchness against the Z4 on my average drive which is both surprising and a pleasant surprise! Then again the S54 was a thirsty lump!

Rob, the running costs are no more than the Z4. Same on fuel providing you're not caning it! Service intervals are dependant on how it's driven...which is the only bit on uncertainty!

I believe his point was you can go just a fast in the M135i for over 10k less. But it's not a like for like model. If the M135i was a proper M car, it would be 40k plus, so it then negates his point; even a well spec'd M135i is late 30k. Pass.
