So my turbo engines head gasket is leaking only weeping down the gearbox side of the engine but as it's out I thought I'd sort it now.
i bought a 1.6mm multi layered steel gasket last time and I was under the impression these could be reused. Was I wrong?

Mines the same mate. Slave-bleeder "t" block-solid pipe (60mm)-flexi hose (2500mm)-solid pipe-master cylinder.
i might adjust the MC to see if it makes a difference.

so i have a crack in my gearbox. its aluminium, it needs welding.
the crack is in the centre of a bearing housing for one of the main shafts, its not very long.
does it need to be stripped before being welded or can i risk it?
also anyone know anyone in the swansea area with an ac tig welder?
ive been assured it an 02m by scoff but im not 100% sure tbh. he said as long as it has 6 gears and the inspection hole then its an 02M.
me personally, im not convinced but the clutch slave has been spaced out (successfully i think) so shouldnt cause an issue.
issue i have now is the casing is...
Lol it's a lot of hassle tbh.
but it's in it's infancy so the more people do it the more info will be available making it easier for the solo guy like me to do it :)
George, has your flywheel been put on yet?
if not im wondering if i could ask a favour which will only require a moment of time and an accurate tape measure...
got any pictures of how youve mounted the master cylinder?
also in your line from the master to the slave did you have a circular bit that the fluid goes in and out of inline?
you clutch moves a lot smother and faster then mine
ive just spaced my slave out about 6mm and now it looks similar to...
