Hi Mark, have done quite a few single venue rallies in many different cars as a co-driver and currently building a Clio to rally from August I hope. Costs for events (tarmac) vary but expect to pay around £200 for 40miles of stages (ish) TSH in Cornwall is 100 stage miles around a large airfield...

Great stuff Graham. I meet up with Nick last week as well as I need a Diff and he recommended buying a refurb gearbox from him with the diff fitted. He was getting his Clio fine tuned on the rolling road near me (where my clio is being rallyised) before a trip up the line for a Time Attack thing...

as the title says really! I removed my liners on my Audi TT but not sure about the pros and cons on the Clio. Mine is being built into a tarmac rally car but concerned about water ingress etc so anybody have any advise? Ta BW69

@MarkT the RB5s are still remoulds but they are a very good tyre but i use a soft compound which would wear out far too quick on track so you would need look at the harder compounds and they are very noisey! One negative is wet weather you need to get then cut for wet weather as they move around...

If the cost is marginal go for the cross and don't compromise on safety

Some more bits aquired and going in the car soon. RRS 3" 6 point harnesses and RRS dished steering wheel. Carbon rear wiper blanking plate and some tow and door straps as the door cards will be fitted and require a method of grabbing.

A small update. The custom cages cage has gone in along with some extra gussets and the car is now without flex! Couldn't get to open doors to get better pics this time as a gearbox on a pallet was in the way. Flocked dash going back in this week then the plexi glass and the foamex door cards...

There is a chap in Hayle that fits cages for some of the Rally boys in Plymouth.
