I get the feeling the remould versions are going to become a thing of the past to be fair, I ordered two new front tyres last week in the NK's.
Personally I'd just pay the extra for the new carcess ones they are the best tyre out there on the 1B list for Hillclimbing.

Ye that would be roughly 450lb Front and 250lb rear which is mega soft.
The front anti roll bar does look huge thou, but interesting to know what the actual stiffness is of each bar.
Rich
I suspect I already know the answer to this but does anyone sell/make a proper blanking plug for the Dephaser Solenoid once you go for non VVT cams?
I know you most people just leave them in but I wanted something to look abit neater.
Cheers Rich
Really like them, tuning with ARB's is the way to go instead of having to go barmy on the spring poundage.
Can I ask what spring poundage you do run?
Cheers Rich
Mark Mayfield?
His was a 197 head so had the Camshaft Sensor fitted as OEM.
I suppose I could always fit the CoP's and run them in wasted spark format and try and sort a Cam Sensor out a later date.
Rich
The sensor ring is available from Cat Cams for the Inlet Cam, but obviously there's no sensor mount on 172/182 head.
CoP is much neater way of doing it plus sequential spark control is far superior than wasted spark.
In all fairness there doesn't look like an easy way to do it, it would be a...
I run Gaz Golds on my Ph1, currently with 500lb front springs and 650lb rears.
800lb front on Gaz Golds is the top end of what they'l damp to so they adjuster knob if using that poundage needs to be at it's highest setting otherwise the damper wont damp and it'll just bounce on the springs.
On...
Personally in a N/A car the only extra gauge I'd have would be a Oil Pressure and Oil Temp gauge, SPA do a lovely dual one for £200 which I can highly recommend.
Unless you have a full on race car with the ability to data log from your ECU or an additional external device (digital race dash...
I was genuinely going up to Demon Tweeks next weekend to buy an RS-5 in blue and black in size 58 and take my hard earned £650.
But off the back of this thread I’ve just bought the same suit for £250, now what do I spend the remaining £400 on?
Rich
I'm after someone/company in the Midlands that can strip back my Ph1 Engine Loom to just what's required to run the dash and integrate it into a DTA S100 Pro Loom, the DTA Loom is beautifully made Raychem item so any modifications that needed doing to that will have to be to the same standard.
I...
If you used it for Hillclimbing mate just get it MSA logged booked then you'll be fine, I have my Clio log booked and I run it in the Road Going Production Class.
Rich
The AD050's in 225/50/15 are actually 235mm wide and ideally need to be fitted to a 8J rim, I'd be amazed if you'd get them to fit under the front of a 1*2 without some serious surgery plus the car will be well over tyre'd.
Personally I only use 195's over 205's as I feel the front end is more...
Cheaper supplies are available lol

Rich
Castrol SRF is without doubt the best brake fluid you can buy albeit a tad on the expensive side, but lets say you've just fitted some Brembo calipers and some CL6/CL8's why would you want to try a save 20 quid on the fluid?
Also don't get fooled by people quoting Dry Boiling Point temperatures...
This is from Prescott Hillclimb at the September meet last season running on 500lb fronts and 650lb rears hardly what you'd call a tail happy car, in fact it still understeers in places.
Rich
It's a pure hillclimb car, although it's road legal to meet the regs I rarely if at all drive it on the road.
This means it's still a heavy car thou just a shade over 1000kg so needs higher poundage springs than a circa 800kg circuit car.
It's currently on 500lb fronts and 650lb rears, I'm...
