Great to see.
I'm willing to bet my original box is in similar condition as iv'e always changed the oil and nurtured it too.
Great to see that if you look after your things there's no reason for them to not provide many years of service.
Nice job Mark :)
Granted you may have not yet had a problem.... yet.
But, It centres the wheel to a point yes, but why would you ever run that risk of having the studs trying to hold on to lateral loads as well as being in tension? This will fatigue the fasteners and eventually fail.
With the wheel properly...
Still required. The spigots centre the wheel and wheels always require an accurate centre.
The studs or bolts are only there to stop the wheel falling off.
Got the inners sills in satin black and then lots and lots of Dynax UB.
These come with a longer tube nozzle which means you can get it right around the arches and hard to reach areas.
I also Dynax’d from the door moldings down, so if moisture does indeed come in those areas then it’s all...
I’ve done a few events with a mate in his Citroen C2R2 Max and an AE86 Corolla.
Absolutely brilliant fun and probably the most fun you can have in a car.
If I could devote the time to it, I’d do a lot more rallies.
Not easy though being the man not behind the wheel, you have to navigate...
I know many folk run the PF items with great success however i was advised against them due to poor fit, so went with Whiteline.
My car is a full interior, every day, road car, and i can say i've noticed absolutely no additional NVH or any sideffect to fitting the Whiteline items at all...
Interesting find this morning as it rained overnight. I found there to be water droplets from the side moldings on the drivers side and nothing on the passenger side?
Coincidence?
100% no no and even more so with a reclining seat.
Get yourself a CG lock and leave harnesses for fixed buckets with either a suitable designated harness bar or roll cage.
Interesting as I too loved the RSR but found the edges would wear very quickly on them. Whereas the NS2R has a much squarer shoulder and stood up better to wear in that area. Also prefer the NS2R in the wet.
If that’s a genuine trend, it’s a difficult one to try and explain as to why.
All I could suggest would be possibly a manufacturing issue, or something thats different on the OS that may cause more moisture to accumulate in that area?
I would suggest there is possibly a grommet or something...
Whilst the MPS is a great all weather tyre, its nothing compared to the sidewall stiffness and dry weather grip that the OP is looking for.
From AD08s to a PS3 i think will be a disappointment.
An NS2R in either compound makes a superb dry grip tyre if you don't mind the tyre noise. I daily'd...
So when i first got the car back last June, i quickly popped off the rear door cards to have a look at the extent of any possible corrosion back there, and if i needed to act urgently on anything. Fortunately it all looked okay and i just dumped a load of Waxoyl on it and left it for another...
@NorthloopCup @Eddie555
Cheers for the heads up boys, not something I’m currently planning on but good for thought.
@Tom Johnson, care to drop me a price for a Clio rear cage with harness bar(s).
Be interested in a price for both CDS and the same in T45. 🙂
Out if interest.
Does anyone make a T45 half cage for the Clio? Be lovely to have a proper little Clubsport type car but don’t fancy dumping a load of weight in it. I’m guessing most of the half cages out there are standard 38mm CDS?
