Took the car to the garage,he has cancelled the engine management light,fault read cat?....if it comes on again i`ll take it in.Hope its not the second lambda:(

I drove to barmouth and back from the west midlands yesterday with the new lambda and the start of the journey my mpg was 36.5,when i got back it was 38.2,so at least it works.

No,when i priced up mine,the pre cat lambda is different to the post cat.

Took it to the garage anyway,they had done a diagnostics on the car earlier because i`d had an engine management light come on.Unfortunately the eml has come on again,so might have a tinker tomorrow and see whats what.

Ive already replaced the upper engine mount for the k-tec one and made loads of difference,but.....to completely end the "banging sound",i need the upper gearbox one too,which is my next purchase.

You know sometimes i can be unbelievably stupid........Had an engine warning light come on during the week,took it to the garage and had diagnostics done which said first lambda sensor,ok,the mechanic reset the light on the dash and we agreed if it came back on i`d get it...
