Came across this earlier (https://www.carthrottle.com/post/8-new-car-trends-thatll-hit-the-scene-in-2017/) which amongst other things predicts the return of the amazing, outrageous and slightly sickening early 2000's max power type modded cars with neons and crazy spoilers. Anybody seen anything...
Bloody hell, sorry to hear about what happened to you. Can't believe with all the insurance and policies that decent people still end up out of pocket because some tw@t with a gun can't be arsed to work and earn a legitimate living!
Quick update on the budget project - new headlights are in and looking far better than the murky originals (tried to restore them twice). Had a connection issue on one of the indicators but my dad thinks he has a solution so i'll be calling round after work to try and get it fixed. Started to...
I got a pioneer headunit for £40 from halfords, should have been about 100 but was missing the box and Bluetooth mic. Got a mic off amazon for 6 quid and everything works fine. Might be worth a check in your local one for any in clearance maybe.
Looking for advice on whether to do them myself, try to find some already done or pay somewhere to do them for me (if so looking for suggestions of a good place to go for it near Stoke-on-Trent)
While we're on the subject of the rear wiper... as mine reaches the apex of the rotation it loses contact the rear window towards the end of the blade. So rather than the normal shape of the wipe from the rear wiper I get something similar but flat at the top. Its not a major issue or causing...
Yeah I've been thinking of upgrading my interior, I'll have to keep an eye on the sale section.
I also have a dent in my passenger door that the car was written off for before I had it so I'm hoping to sort that soon (its about the size of a 5p coin).
Thought I'd start a project thread to show the progress on tidying up Black Phillip (my little 1.2).
This will be done on a budget as I have other commitments requiring most of my money so I'll be looking to start making small changes and improvements to do three things; 1) keep it running well...
Okay so from the advice I've received it looks like my best bet is keeping my current Clio, not spending much on it and not bothering with the 1.5 - just saving for a 182 or 172.
My plan then is to spend a little bit making it tidy and a little nicer to look at but on a tight budget. I've seen...
I'm not here to argue with anyone and I don't get baited into arguments often so no worries. If there's already bad blood between people I'm staying out of it :D
Are there any Clio's worth getting that lie somewhere between my 1.2 and the 2.0 182? I don't expect my current one to last ages and...
I'll bear that in mind with the tyres, haven't needed any since having the car but should do soon. Any specific recommendations as to what tyres to get?
Sorry I forgot to state that I've had the car for just over a year now and I learnt to drive in it, hence me falling in love with it.
I had to fit a new clutch a few months ago and I've just serviced it and got it through it's MOT. The cambelt is the only thing that I haven't checked over...
Cheers for the quick reply, I thought this might be the case.
I'm guessing I'll be waiting a few years before my insurance drops enough to make something else feasible (I'm think Mk2 182).
Hey just started using this so thought I'd say hi and maybe see if anybody has any words of wisdom for me. Quick background on me: I'm 24 but only recently started driving because it wasn't feasible while I was at uni. My first car is an ex-write-off (small dent in door) Clio Dynamique 1.2 16v...
