Thanks for the reply mate it's going to be checked next week hopefully so I'll see what happens then I just wondered if I need to change any sensors before I go just to save fault finding whilst it's their.
Would the adaptronics Ecu make the shift light work on the dash like the standard Ecu ...
Hello . My Clio is using adaptronic ecu with the std still in place but has Rev limit of 6.2k and the little green shifter light flashes on the dash when it reaches this. The cars fully up to temp so it says on the gauge wondered if anyone has any ideas to try before I book it in. It's going...
Used to be another local arctic 182 with orange wheels and cage but he sold it had over 300 bhp. My nephew had 3 different ones over the past year so been loads about.
Ive got a blue 182 in Paignton not really used it much tho . My mates got an rb in Paignton too.
Seen the silver one on the totnes road a lot my little boy points it out every time we go past
The old Peugeot estate thing pouring out black smoke nearly caused a few biffs. Only as it was so slow out of the corners everyone piled up behind it. . The black type r turbo overtaking on the grass passing 3 cars spread across the track looked ready to crash too
It's a universal one I'll find the link. It sits too high when you first get it so I chopped it down on a bit of an angle to tilt the gauges up a bit. Even ordered a boost gauge from America it was the only good quality one I could find that only went to 15 psi. If I had a 30 psi gauge like most...
The gauges I hid with a rag when I left the car as I've not had chance to finish it yet so looks a bit bodged but it's just an eBay one real cheap. I cut it all down though as sat too high on the dash but fits well in that little tray on top of dash. Will look better once I fit an afr gauge...
Oh great. Bloody thing . Weird that it's all come from a fully working car though and swapped straight onto mine I can't see what else I could have got wrong as it's very straight forward.
It stinks of fuel too from the exhaust while running . Ticks over not too bad at all and misfires...
Thanks for the help ive sorted the fan problem it was as dan said I'd cut the loom instead of splicing it but it's also cut on the loom that it all came off so must have been run like it before. Another problem now that it won't rev past 2.5k and has the little light on the dash the zig zag...
I have been thinking this. Do you know what pin on the ecu that would be by any chance. If not I can go through the old loom tomorrow and find it. Must have been cut on the spare loom too as I copied it exactly and checked many times. Hopefully it's the only thing wrong as it runs real good...
I'm sure I'll sort it I'll get on it tonight. I'm unsure if I spliced or cut the wire as I just copied straight from another loom so I need to find out what pin the fan switch or coolant sensor is. I may have knocked the coolant plug in the bay I'll go check later . So glad it fired up...
Hello.
Ive just finished plumbing in my low boost turbo conversion on my Clio and am very happy that it fired up first time. One problem ive found so far is that the rad fan runs all the time even when ignition switched off. It turns off whilst the engine cranks over but comes on...
Ok cool thanks for that I'll have a look when I'm at home again. I sold all my old parts too so couldn't even compare as I only kept my leads as they were brand new. Been trying to zoom in on pics of engine bays on turboed cars to see if I could work them out.
Just the fuel pump to do when...
Hello. Can anyone tell me or have a quick look at the lead numbering on the coil pack for the turbo conversion.
The original has them numbered on the coil but the new one does not but does have ABCD so wondering it this is 1234. If anyone can help this would be great.
Cheers
Jay
Hello.
Is their a problem with having the water feed to a turbo on a 182 from the thermostat housing through the turbo then back into the header tank.
Only im seeing people using feeds from the heater matrix.
I'm about to do mine and wondered if theirs a reason for this that's all...
Hello.
Has anyone fitted a battery say and odyssey25 to a road going Clio . It is a second car and left on trickle charge most of the time anyway but making more room in the engine bay for a neater looking turbo conversion and wanted a battery under the seat.
So wondered if anyone...
Just don't tell her will be easier. . My missus thinks everything costs 20 quid . Funny she never minds if her car costs me a few hundred quid in parts and me to spend a day fitting . So I don't tell her anymore.
She found a receipt for £280 in my glovebox once for car parts which I...
