Few little bits done.
Clutch cable fitted. New rad cap.
Alternator, 12v feed in and mount fitted just needs a belt and tensioning now. Luckily I have a few to choose from ?
Next on the list is finding somewhere to fit my oil cooler ??♂️
Seems to be an issue everywhere I look...
Few pictures from dropping the engine in today.
Started bolting some bits on to make it look like an engine bay too.
I need to swap the PMS linkage for the Jenvey linkage, anyone got any ideas how this is done and if it’s easy enough?
I haven’t even looked yet but I’m sure I read on...
Thanks bud! Not to sure on wiring yet. Probably just tidy OE loom as running Gen90.
Yeah they are heavy and made of thick steel. Well worth it, vibrate a lot!
Spent a few hours in the garage.
Pushed the storm out side and tidied up a bit first.
Then move on to fitting the cams and timing the engine, the fact the Renault locking tool doesn’t fit the cat cams is the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever come across ?
Few last bits to add to it and it’s...
Master cylinder hoses are p clipped down now.
The passenger front hose was bit of a nightmare with the straight fitting out the master not to mention being about a foot too long. To get it tidy, Miss the routing of the clutch cable and go behind the heat shielding took some patience.
@robzracing @vroomtshh @Nafoff
Did you all have issues mounting the front hoses to the body with the little spring clip?
Like @Nafoff picture here. Did you use the washers in the end like this?
Mine seem really loose!
All the brake lines are ran and tightened to the calipers bar the passenger front. Need to join the caliper line to master line and then p clip them all down. Oh and make a bracket for the bias valve.
Master cylinder is all in now tho.
Will definitely help ??
You’ve got plenty of space to slide under the sill aswell. I have to jack the back up and slide it under and turn it.
I use an inpact gun to raise and lower the ramp.
You had it level with all 4 wheels off the ground yet?
