No worries dude but like I said it would be much easier to just use the cobra slow subframes that are floating about!!
Check out JonG's track clio thread, he did a lot better job of it than I did!! Lol
Next job for me is to rip all the dash out and clean up behind and sort out behind that...
i consulted my little handbook and it says that the STOP light should come on with either handbrake/ABS/Oil/temp......
so why is mine on without any other light on?! :(
1. Front Pads
2. Front Discs
3. Hacked off PAS pipes
4. No backbox
5. STOP light is on
6. rad isnt secured
7. CV boot gone
8. battery isnt secured down
I think thats it. Thank god its an on going track project and wont see the road till the summer ey ;)
i checked there was oil in the car as soon as it came on, and theres plenty!!
however i went out today to check that the issue was still there, but the oil light now turns off when the car is started...
But the stop light still remains?! any suggestions??
i only say that because the OMP sidemounts are not as long as usual side mounts are!! but as you say, being the same brand it should all simply bolt together!!
but im looking on the bay now and it seems that they come in the whole range of shapes and sizes!! so tbh, i think youre going to be...
thanks dude!! sorry for the questions at this hour!!
would i know if the pump has gone?? ie rattly engine, bang as the chain snaps etc?!
because its gone from no light on warm ilde, to light on cold at 3k, which implies somethings gone suddenly rather than a gradual demise!! lol
the sidemounts will bolt to any side mounted seat fine as theyre a standard disntance, as for mounting them to subframes you may have to drill holes.
if you get the same sidemounts as ive just fitted, the bolt holes in the sidemount are offset from each other so once you drill the holes, youll...
if you couldnt get it out with a breaker bar, i doubt youll be able to "screw" it out!!
depending on what model you use, you might as well just get a new hub from a scrap yard!!
but for the record, if torqued up correctly you can drive on 3 wheel bolts, though its not recomended!
it is a bit long i know, but i dont mind doing it, having other people compliment your project kinda helps a bit with motivation!! lol

Didnt get much done today tbh, i was being a bit lazy!! Dug my old exhaust out that i was planning to use in the new build but the flange is a...
sorry to dig this up but im having a similar issue so i thought id post rather than make a new thread!! My oil pressure light came on today for no reason and has stayed on.
My clio is never driven and run every couple of days just to move it really, last time it drove was in december when it...
is the pedal is limp then it will most likely be the cable,
either that or the release bearing may have collapsed but these usually make a lot of noise before they go!!
hmm though i said i was tempted to fit my decat tomorrow, im not starting to reconsider after reading threads about how awkrward it is!! Then engine will be out in the summer time and it will be a breeze to fit then!
still need to put a centre box on though as it is stupidly loud atm.
lol, prep and prime?!
i didnt really bother, just cleaned it all up and wire brushed some of the stuborn dirt!!
like i said, i wasnt going for an amazing job, just wanted to make the inside look abit more fresh rather than the stained miss matched coloured stuff!!
