Knowing both , and the pitfalls of both i would always choose the duratec. The power and torque characteristics suit a quaife or BGH 5 speed type 9 box well . Your pushed to use 6 speed with the lower torque K series or honda .
Outright pace there is little to choose at the same power but the...
I used to buy 4 x 048r at 20 quid a tyre 4 sets at a time and get to go chooae my sets using a duro gauge
All sets then matched nicely
Just need a friendly local race team with the right tyres

Set of 15" rims and yoko 048's off one of the series that use them
Decent fluid , stock discs and a decent pad to suit the car.
Thats then enough for some fun with a decent geo setup for quick peddlers on a track day for minimal expense
Or the above LOL but i like the yoko's above the...
Not being funny but for that level of experience plus instruction you will know you can push most hot hatches past the brake and tyre limits.
I have similar levels of experience and found the common upgrades of cooksport springs conti tyres and upgraded brakes to ds2500 to be over in a couple...
James are you using 3m carbon wrap ?
It works really well and have to say your transformation is looking great .
Nice find on the tyres too , are you running 13 or 15" wheels ?

You do realise what that is and are being sarcastic right ?? [emoji4]
7.22 round the ring was pretty impressive for a 998cc car

Its an absolute minefield , and the cars in a roll thing is car dependant too
Roll a 205 and god help you , roll a clio 200 and i bet i folds less
I will dig out pics of my R5 rolled at cadwell
Basically folded round the cage

Yes it should
The correct fia padding is sodding firm too
Never drove a caged caterham/Westfield without a helmet
Its certainly very sensible

It will hit the mildly modified cars
I have had no problem with extensively modified but the car with a non airbag wheel will

Glad someone realises the issue with belts and harneses and no cage and head to cage impact injuries without a helmet .
Things i bang on about all the time , but most seem to know better > then again i have witnessed the consequences
I have been through it here and abroad , people say it wont happen blah blah , friendly mot tester etc etc .
It has happened here before , kit car registration took a massive shake up 10 or so years ago when the sva test first came out.
I can say it was a good thing and no doubt saved a few...
Have things changed or are now being enforced from May 20th -YES
Define a competition car -MSA LOG BOOK
Its going to become fairly black and white and make life easier for testers . My own mot station who have known me for years and have tested everything from my competition cars to modified...
Bingo .
Everyone has what they think is reasonable and its where their personal standards are set , some people think riding around on a carbon bycicle they paid 10k for is stupid , and i hear that alot in the cycling brigade , but if thats what it costs to have what you want you either pay it...
Understand that
Price of carbon has really gone up.
When i built my westy my mog racing carbon kevlar seats were £350 now they are £800 each and you cant have the carbon/kevlar to the outer shell
Think i worked out all the carbon on my old car came to 5k in todays prices
Fortunately all...
Gel coat can be fairly hard , especially westfield bodywork
But nothing unusual in polishing it , i have used wet and dry to remove deep scratches fairly well

Most broadband now is FTTC fibre to a cabinet then copper wire to the house
Similar to using a 1.1 fiesta exhaust on a ferrari
FTTP OR H is fibre to your door so its the sports exhaust fitted for free flowing power
Does that help ?
Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
Can you have FTTP ?
Wasnt aware many properties had the ability for end to end fibre ?
Good to see it going into new houses if you can
I ran a full fibre network back in the late 90's early noughties as a Nortel transmission engineer ..... those were the days

They did also use the 3.8 for the rs in NA
Looks like its very rare and at the end which then became the 993 rs which was a 3.8 which stayed untill the very recent 4.0rs
Most of my RS knowledge is 993's and newer though i have driven a fair few 964rs in my old wheeltorque days
I made a...
I recon its a real oddball and certainly not a 250k car
Not by any stretch
Some very odd things going on there
However i live and learn as i have seen 3.8 on an RS reg doc as i still kick myself for not buying the rhd 993rs
Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
What happened to the engine ???
Rs is a 3.8
Visually lots of weird things , but not saying it wasnt something oddball
Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
250k is way too much for a 964rs unless it was less than 10k miles and concours
was it just in for an mot or some work ?
Its a carrera 2 with some RS bits , depending on mileage and how good the history is then its possibly a 50k car
To be fair you would need to know your 911's fairly...
Initial glance was alerted by the colour ,(could have been painted) then wheels (but could be on a set of spare wheels)
however ride height and wheel offset are wrong for an RS
So i reg checked it
1992 Porsche 911 3600cc
Its a boggo 964 carrera 2 as an RS is a 3.8 they read 37...
