Having exactly same problem after engine out and clutch change, thought top gearbox mount was twisted so did that last night and it's now better but sometimes as bad.
Will change wheels tomorrow morning and see if it solves it.
I did also change steering rack bushes so wonder if that's making...
I bet a new battery will sort it, they seem to be sensitive to voltage drop when cranking. I've had it before and also known others to have same problems and it solves it with a new battery.
Me and another guy, www.interconnectionltd.co.uk but the site isn't updated much!
99% residential work, I used to do all commercial work like boardrooms etc... But been doing this for 8 years now.
Post away :) any jobs going that side of the pond?! ;)
Small update;
Engine is currently out, clutch started slipping, I found a receipt for a clutch that was £40 so that explained it! It was a Luk one not Valeo. And with going to the Nurburgring 1st of August I didn't ant to take the risk.
So excuse to rip the engine out, get Cambelt, Aux belt...
As bad as it was you've still probably had one of the best and most memorable times you'll ever have.
s**t luck, was hoping for everything to go so well but just think of that story!
