Cheers Mark appreciate that mate. Hahah that's very lucky, fingers crossed I can replicate something close. If i have to CAD it up and get one made that shouldn't be an issue 🤞
Awesome that helps a lot thankyou very much :) Don't suppose you could take some pictures next time your near the engine of the pick up pipe so I can try and design a new one up. No worries if not. Hopefully R-Sport or the guy I bought it off may have some of those bits at least haha.
I know theres a few bits missing but not 100% sure on what's actually needed to fit one of these to a Clio - my plan was to slowly find out and make/buy the bits haha. Would be a massive help if you wouldn't mind sharing your knowledge mate!!
I've got the sump pan, oil pump, driveshaft with...
Settled into our house now and loving my new job, so have been working on some bits for the Clio again at the weekends.
The EFI loom is very nearly done, hoping to complete this by the end of the week delivery dependant. It's turned out real nice - lets hope it works! Spoke to Omex today to...
I did the same thing as you, managed to grab them off his Facebook page after messaging him. I'll put them here so everyone who loses them like us can easily find them (y)
Finished the fuse/relay/ECU mounting panel for the two looms yesterday. The left block is for the EFI harness, the centre block (donated from a cup racer) is for the body harness and the bracket on the right will house the Omex 600 ECU.
Unfortunately I think the Clio is gonna be on a...
EFI harness progress.. mocked up the majority of the loom today in rope to route where the loom is going to go. Now that it's made in rope I can measure out of the car how long each length of wire will be to document it and order the required wire to get started!
Small update... I'll try remember everything as its been so long 😭😂 Been caught up in job hunting, rallying and holidays, so not had time that do much to the car - but have managed to land one as a Design Engineer at ITG Filters which I'm really chuffed about as my first 'proper' job!!
Sadev...
I agree it does look fresh! But unfortunately I don't think it's coming with any proof so taking it with a pinch of salt.
Hahaha can get a new one for that mate ?
Hahaha mine too for a long time, the seller says it's 'new' with 83km of stage use. Coming from Germany and has been used in a Clio. I'm not quite sure if that's true with it being the STDSA box which is very old, so I think it's best we have it refreshed before using it.
Sump is back on now and engine is all okay, just needs filling up with oil again!
In the meantime I think I've solved the lack of an LSD issue... Just waiting for it to be delivered ?
Also progress on the wiring side of things and refreshing the interior to go with it... Flocked MK1 Clio dash...
Last weekend myself and my friend Sam took part in the JRT Enville Stages at Anglesey. We had a great laugh and the car showed good pace despite my bad driving and it crying out for an LSD! Thankfully I feel a lot more confident in driving it now however, so will be easy to improve on with a bit...
Hey, thanks for the kind words.
We went to the bias box as we know loads of people who use them in their rally cars with no issues, saying that I also now know people who have had exactly the same issues as us. The advantage when they're working right is the feel through the pedal is excellent...
Thought I'd best write an update as haven't done one for a month or so!
So I've booked another rally that I'm doing with my friend Sam, the JRT Enville stages on 30th June at Anglesey Race Circuit. https://www.rallies.info/webentry/2019/jrtenville/entries.php?type=u
Not much to prep on the...
Thankyou very much, much appreciated. It's nice to have it finished... But I kinda miss having lots to do on it, that was the fun bit haha.
Hahaha they're not the best for visibility tbf but can get closer to chicanes now and look good like you say ??
A couple of days after the last post I took off the bias box and fitted a standard servo and master cylinder again. Had to change a fitting on our brake line to suit the MC but it was all done in a couple of hours. Bled them up with some Motul RBF600.
The brakes now feel unreal compared to what...
Cheers mate! Currently got a twin cylinder bias box no servo, std calipers, hydro handbrake, in line bias valve on the rear, PBS pads and brembo discs.
As per not had a spare minute to update this with all the prep for the AGBO Stages that took place yesterday. Pleased to say we finished with little issues throughout the day and was a massive learning curve for both of us on our first ever event. Just took it steady learning the time controls...
You did indeed ? He said we could change a letter like you said or make it say 'Mild Seventy' etc lol. Nice one mate, excellent cannot wait. Did it all go to plan?
Fair enough haha, theres no room at all in the Twingo but I'd love to turn mine into a rally car. It's really not a slow as a Clio as people tend to make out (In standard form)? Nice, will be good to be back at it again. Will give the thread a read now nice one ?
