I'll be getting a sun strip at some point, they make a big difference with cutting the brightness out (when the sun decides to show itself). Has anyone bought any decent pre-cut ones?
Here's a few pictures as well from the weekend. It's got the common dent in the bonnet as well as a few others, but I'm looking forward to tidying everything up to be honest.
Thank you for the warm welcome guys, it's good to know there are so many helpful members on here.
I don't really know anything mechanically to be honest so it's going to be one hell of a learning curve! The main aim is to tidy the car up a bit and then have some track fun. I've modded cars for...
, it sounds like you enjoy it there! haha
I don't mind any of the others (well, the traffic police are not ideal but I've not seen them up there all too often to be honest). That wind always cuts through though and I always get suckered into wearing shorts!
Spot on, we do a fair few meets at the Ponderosa Cafe - it's always so cold up there though! :tongueclosed:
I'll keep an eye out for threads with you heading over there. I'll have to come along for a nosey.
There certainly will be. I did my first sprint at Blyton too so it would have been nice to visit again.
I work at Handbridge so you may see me around there every now and again. :)
I'm the RO on the MLR for North Wales so know that people love the roads over there. When the traffics not too bad...
Hi Knuckles,
Thanks for the George link - I'll have a look at his threads.
I'm from Crewe, so not far away from you at all. I actually work in Chester so work even closer! Are there a few cars around us?
It's bad timing on my part for missing the festival though, I'm a bit gutted about that...
Spot on, thank you kindly. I'll see if I can find him.
Where abouts in the North West are you based Johnny? I guess there will be a fair few members from around the region?
Thanks Johnny. I think there will be a fair few to be honest.
First up will probably be addressing the brakes with discs and pads. After that will be looking at suspension and making the switch to coilovers.
I'll have a good look though on here to look at the recommended manufacturers to go for. :)
I've bought one! I've bought a 182 FF with cup packs on Friday so will now be fully joining the fold. Next job is to become a fully paid up member on here!
I think I'll be needing all of your help over the coming months
Hello all,
I signed up a few weeks ago as I'm on the lookout for a nice 172 or 182. I've been close to buying a few now but they've both been snapped up before I've managed to view them.
I've not got a massive budget but hopefully enough money to have some fun.
If you spot an honest car up...
