You can buy cheap ex exhibition carpet tiles on Ebay, If they get dirty /damaged just replace, easy to take up as well which is one of your requirements.
I've been using Halfords spanners and sockets for so long so me of the posters on this thread were probably still in nappies!. I've subjected them to all sorts of abuse including the usual 'pipe' extension on a ratchet without failure.
I also have one of their cabinets which has proved...
Thanks for the quick response!!
The headlamp reflector mechanism is loose inside the casing. I thought about separating the casing but seems a lot of people have had problems.
My nearside xenon headlamp is broken so looking to replace but the cost of a xenon headlamp is high so thought about replacing both sides with normal headlamps and selling O/S xenon headlamp . The car is only used for hillclimbing, but has to be road legal. Is the wiring the same or am I...

It lives and it shall go to the ball (Harewood Hillclimb) !!!
Based upon the feedback ( thanks!) started systematically checking back cleaning up contacts checking fuses/relays and got to point where immobilizer light would now go out and car would just keep cranking, but not start. Had power...
Hi
Thanks for the responses I put a new lower gearbox mounting on and cleaned up the earth strap but I'll try the extra earth via jump leads. The black wire to the gearbox has been reconnected but I'll take it off and clean it up again.
I'll look at the white wire and others...
Hi,
Need help from the experts on here!!!
I took my gearbox out to fit a Gripper diff all connected back up but will not start.
Car cranks over for less than a second then stops, no noise from fuel pump.
Replaced crank shaft sensor
Initially thought it was the ECU as had suffered minor...
Thanks for the responses all sorted managed to locate one with all the numbers identical to mine with UCH and key fob as well
I love this forum:):):):)
Thanks guys!
I presume I can get more keys cut and matched to the ECU? I have in the past had a Honda key mapped to another key one of the in town key specialists
I have been a complete idiot and wrecked by ECU, so a replacement is urgently required
What do I need? an ECU obviously but a UCH, new keys? new Ign barrel?
Does anyone have the required parts?
63 and competing in the Harewood hill climb championship in my self prepared Clio182. Managed a 69.88 which is good for a Clio with a standard engine and box! but will be out in 2019 with a new Gripper diff!
The three regularly used hillclimbs closest to you are Prescott, Shelsley Walsh and Loton Park. and the Midland Hillclimb Championship covers all these venues.looks like you would be running in call A(ii) assuming they apply the multiplier for your turbo...
Hi,
Which class you would run in is really dependent upon the mods that have been done to your Clio and to a lesser extent which events you want to run in and where you are.
If you are entering MSA events then the blue book is your friend. Alternatively there is Javelin Sprint Series...
Thanks for the responses, the gaiter is in good condition except for the small split so I'll try gluing it. Just need to pass the MOT as the car only goes up and down Harewood hillclimb
The gaiter has a tiny split in it but will be an MOT failure so looking to replace whilst gearbox is out.

Well spent the last couple of days excl Xmas day removing gearbox + subframe. First time so proved 'interesting'. Subframe bolts to 3 hours to get out due to being seized.
I take my hat off to you guys who do this outside in poor weather?
Subframe off to be powder coated and gearbox off to...
interesting article, my concern is the reason the rejection 1. An airbag obviously missing or defective.
I hope you are correct in your observations I'll find out on 3rd April!
Not straight forward is it?
https://mattersoftesting.blog.gov.uk/when-is-a-modified-vehicle-a-rally-car/
This is what concerns me and I suspect others on this forum who require an MOT for a car where some/all of the airbags have been removed.
in response to an earlier post
