and if you are in contract you CAN NOT, cancel with no charges. Your bill is coming to more because you are going over your set limit. your fault, not BT's.
Call the customer options team on 0800 800 030 tell them you are considering leaving and that you heard of a £10 for unlimited bb offer.
then if you added tv, it costs 22.50 for unlimited bb, eve and weekend calls and the top tv package.
that's £36.10 including line rental.. sky don't come close!
In a word yes.
BT is unlimited BB, Line Rental, Eve & Weekend calls and top tv package all in for £36.10 per month.
£23.60 without tv, after all my dealings with them at work, I'd avoid.
LOL. if he doesnt get commision on what package he sells you, the fact he sold you broadband and line is all he is targeted on. The 120 quid pay your line rental up front is available to everyone (Line rental Saver - LRS), so it's not like you are the king negotiator.
BT are currently doing a deal for £10 per month for unlimited BB & evening and weekend calls with a free line connection.
That works out £23.60 per month including line rental.
BT are cheaper than talktalk if you ask properly. Talktalk are.. well not great. Most of my customer's I get coming back to BT are pissed off TalkTalk customers, who went with TalkTalk as they were cheaper and there is a reason why!
People in the sales teams, homemovers teams, Customer Options Teams, some of the My order Teams are all in the UK. IMO try calling the customer options team on 0800 800 030 as a first port of call.
It is tbh. BT's crap decision to allow both Sky and Talktalk to use openreach for engineer appointments have tripled the workload. Not to mention a backlog was caused by the snow etc..
No they dont. They limit download speed of the top 1% of the population and thats it. If you want to moan about speeds being crap, then stop using torrents and being cheapskate. Sign up to rapidshare or even leechmonster and then you will be fine.
change your wireless password and you may have programs that are using your internet connection to download etc. without your knowledge. (may be worth running spybot/adaware also?)
BT dont get download usage wrong in all honesty, it's there in black and white IMO. I work for BT BTW :P.
It's Because Broadband Talk has been dropped.
it can be sent out now if customers ask for it, but otherwise orders will be shipped with the homehub 2.0 until the 28th of febuary
but the up to 24mb line speed is dependant on the line/distance to exchange etc.. so you can't moan about that.
also, if you go over the 40mb cap, then dont be a cheapskate and get unlimited!
