I have just spoken to Farhad at Premier Tuning and he is local to me today, so if he has time he is going to pop in and give the car the once over. This would put my mind at rest big time to make sure i haven't got a lemon engine wise.
Yer from what i could see top side it's only done it to part of the belt. When i change it tonight i'll have to dig around and see if it catches anywhere. I think im probably going to have to change the pulleys as well as they sound like a roller skate.
Yer i know there are quite a few common issues, but luckily civinfo has most of them covered so im not too worried. Mine has been looked after so i'm hoping its going to be more reliable.
I just popped out to Euros to get my new alternator belt, got some fuel cleaner and an M10 nut to lock my...
Looks like the Skoda is going to sell very quickly. I have priced it keenly to just cut my losses and had lots of messages. One guy wants to come from Preston tomorrow to view it.
I wont be driving like that, my view is there is a time and place. Unless something urgent is going on. I have no interest in the FN Type R, i'm more interested in tidying it up, doing the little jobs and keeping my clutch/flywheel in one piece.
Yer i did read about that, i will have to give it a check. Its only slight but still enough for me to pick up on it. (i have been driving with no stereo to listen out for any noises lol)
Ride is firm, but its not too bad. I can't imagine a Type R would be worse. I like the steering nice and...
Cheers, i have been doing some digging on civinfo and online etc. I have a post saved that @Danith was involved in. I think its probably coming from the cracked seam sealer at the rear or the roof gutters, but i need to strip the rest of the interior out and test first.
Thought i would get a thread up for the new daily. Purchased it yesterday and so far so good. I have a couple of jobs to do and already done my first mod! I will post some pictures from the for sale advert.
Job list
Fix water leak in boot
Replace alternator belt and possibly pulleys/tensioner...
£1200 for discs, bloody hell. I would drive it and try not to use the brakes. I think they are around £800 for e46 m3 and that's crazy enough!
Lovely car.
You are very lucky. We had a car catch fire and burn outside our house blocking the drive. The police or council wouldn't do anything. So after 2/3 days my dad got pissed of dragged it into the middle of the road so the police had to come and move it... not the best idea but it got moved.
The slow starting when cold could be a sign of the injectors failing, similar thing happened to mine. Can always do a leak down test and see how bad they are takes a few mins.
£100ish each I think, plus labour or do it yourself. Can't remember if they need coding or not. Not sure if they made changes in the mk3 engine or not so that might be better than mk2.
This is an absolute shocker of a game.
Anyone who plays on PC should checkout Fallout Miami. Shame that it falls to the modding community to make a good fallout game these days.
To be honest my first impression of him was this guys a c**k and seems I wasn’t wrong! Kept telling me how everything worked and took me out for a spin and drove it like he stole it. If it was 2k I would of been interested! Let’s hope the Clio tomorrow is better.
Well, my Dad had terraclean done on his van and said he noticed the difference, however as most cars use direct Injection it does little to clean valves and intakes. That's why you see people with Audi's and Bmws getting them walnut blasted. A good place to start would be checking the pipework...
Went and saw this one, wasn't worth 3k. Needed rear tyres and brakes, bodywork was above average, drivers seat was starting to collapse. I found a nice 182 so i have lined that up for tomorrow...
