    CS Tech wizards - Help.

If its not a driver related issue, with Windows potentially being the main culprit - you could always try setting a static network address onto your PC adapter? Check what you have first by pressing the Windows Key + R and typing cmd and the enter. In there, type ipconfig /all and enter. In...

Five years old too. I wonder how many engines that's gone through from head-gasket failures? ;)

    The Cars Spotted Appreciation Thread

How boring and understated does that Ferrari look? Could almost appear a some Peugeot coupe derivative or something. The 993 Porsche Turbo however - amazing!

    None working nearside headlight bi-xenon

If you go for the 6000k bulbs on that eBay link above - they look like the below. A very (very) slight blue - just more white than anything. Not the best pic, but it gives you some idea.

    Red Dead Redemption 2

I think the one single thing that anyone would want to do in this game is to rob a train. Fighting through box-car sections with the occasional smoke blindness from the VAG diesel engine up front - to finally get to the lump-iron safe that's bolted to the floor. Of course, dynamite would then be...

    Red Dead Redemption 2

Anyone seen the footage that the horses now can actually take a dump in game? First it was shrivelled horse wang in the cold weather and now the bowel movements of the equine participants. Either the devs at R* want to make it as realistic as possible. Or they are bored out of their heads with...

    None working nearside headlight bi-xenon

Do NOT believe this man! :D In all seriousness, it is easier once the front of the car is in the air. With a splitter fitted, it's quite fiddly when on the ground and I CBA'd to jack it up when I did it. The headlight unit is a fully integrated unit. Once you have it unbolted from your car...

    None working nearside headlight bi-xenon

Yep - two of the three are hidden behind the bumper. Looking at the driver's side headlight front-on (and wishing I had the drawing ability of @mace) - here's a pizza slice/headlight image showing you approximately where the bolts are.

    None working nearside headlight bi-xenon

Regardless - it's bumper off I'm afraid. There's simply no room behind either headlight unit to extract either the starter or the bulb itself. My bulb went (drivers side) recently and I replaced both. Just ordered the below and that price is for a pair. I paid circa £29 and ended up with four...

Swapped the headlight bulbs out - now its broken :(

Yep - the new battery fixed it completely. Grumbled and spluttered for a few seconds as expected when it started, but then quickly settled back down to idle. That Bosch S4 battery that I got from ECP only just fits - literally as in millimetre perfect. With the clamp reattached, it definitely...

BG 182 near Darwen Services just now

Went to Euro Car Parts for a battery and there was a BG182 parked on the corner near there. CS.net sticker on the rear window too.

Swapped the headlight bulbs out - now its broken :(

Just. It's normally a solid 'thunk' noise when the locks are engaged. The last two times have been quite laboured. Assuming this battery does fix it, I'll probably take it for a quick blast on the M65 tonight. The battery might have been sat on the shelf for a few weeks/months?

Swapped the headlight bulbs out - now its broken :(

Thanks guys - @Chris_Beer, it does indeed sound like the carbon canister area. As you said though, happy enough to try the simple option of a new battery first. It's done bloody well to last this long in all fairness. I'll post back tomorrow...... assuming I actually get into work :P

Swapped the headlight bulbs out - now its broken :(

Looks like it is the battery. Got a proper reader on it tonight and it’s barely making 9v. I’ll nab a new one tomorrow and put it in. Hopefully it’s something as straight-forward as that!

Swapped the headlight bulbs out - now its broken :(

No mate - definitely not. My first suspicion is that it's the battery that's gone - given that it's got to be a good 7 or 8 years old now. It just seemed to be a coincidence that it 'went' after yesterday's bulb replacement and that clicking noise I have never heard before....

Swapped the headlight bulbs out - now its broken :(

Must be something that I've done, but for the life of me, I can't think what. Yesterday I replaced the drivers side xenon bulb after it had stopped working. Naturally I did both headlights to ensure that the beam colour matched. I did notice that on the driver's side in particular, the...

Engine out - what else to do?

How does the gearbox feel at the minute? Do you think it requires a refurb? If mine ever came out, I'd like to look into the possibility of a taller 5th gear. Just to knock the RPMs down a bit on a motorway run. Clearly you're doing it wrong. Increasing the alcohol intake will counteract the...

Engine out - what else to do?

Liking this thread. I'd be of the same viewpoint that I'd want to chuck money at a list of potential big fixes, whilst the engine was out. Would like to hear if you have any stumbling blokes or difficulties from start to finish with it too!

    DiRT Rally 2.0

Noticed that DiRT 4 was on sale on Steam yesterday for just over a tenner. Nabbed that to effectively complete the collect of DiRT games that I have.

    DiRT Rally 2.0

It played brilliantly with a gamepad I found. No need for a wheel with DiRT Rally.

    B7 RS4

I remember a school teacher in the local paper when I was at uni having an article written where she had bought a new RS2. Pretty much one-step short of stating "why has a woman got a car so powerful"? Different times, eh!

    B7 RS4

The fastest one there is the one I'd least like to own. That RS2 would be my choice for the fast wagen. By far the coolest of those four anyway.

    Engine failure - thoughts?

Never knew that - and makes perfect sense as to why!

I'm beginning to regret buying the RS...

Totally agree. It's like what a 7-year-old would draw on their perfect car. Almost as bad as that church organ that sticks out the back of Corvettes. WTF were the designers thinking? More pipes are better?

    Engine failure - thoughts?

And here's me thinking that the cylinders were numbered from left-to-right, in situ in the engine bay. I would have classed that as Cylinder 3. ?

    Strange Brigade

Cheers Andy! It's annoying reading it back to myself when I see loads of typos though! :p Managed to get past the saved game point last night. Spotted a few hidden map secrets that I hadn't noticed before either. I guess it would take quite a bit of work to find every single one on all of the maps.

    Strange Brigade

Coming up to around 10 hours into this so far - approximately with a 50/50 split between online and single player mode. https://strangebrigade.com/en I think the easiest way to describe this a merger between the likes of Left 4 Dead 2, with an Indiana Jones background and setting. Essentially...
