oil way bearing between the cams, common problem. oil runs down the back of the engine hence the smell. or the other thing it could be is cam cover leaking. both big jobs.

that will be the gear selection valve solenoids, renault only supply a complete pack for around 500 quid, I can change them individualy.

had the cup about 2 weeks, dave was gona have it but is sticking with his car, so once my throttle body conversion is all sorted (mapped) it will be up for sale.

Owning both full fat and a cup I can say having driven my cup for a few days its ***** tastic. Feels like an animal compared to my FF 172 (not driven properly since TB conversion). Love the animal feel to the cup and its great:approve:

You certainly dont have to undo the hub nut. The discs are just stuck on, hit the old discs like a man not a mouse ;)

they are stuck on, hit the back edge of the disc with a hammer they will come off then.
