My Dad got his yesterday (2.6GHz, 16GB, 512GB) and it really is impressive. The screen is astonishing, even in the higher resolutions which he will use for work, makes going back to my 13" feel horrid and even his Thunderbolt display looks below par. It's the first laptop that has made me...
Interesting that no one seemed to be able to actually use one properly at yesterdays unveiling.
I can see the lower end one eating up Androids tablet market (dependant on price) fairly quickly unless Google do something to seriously fix the issues Android has around its tablets. Windows 8...
VLC every time unless I'm watching media from my PC then its Plex. I see Plex or XBMC as a connected to a TV approach rather than sat at a desk program.
Bootcamp doesn't really work at the moment (driver issues) and Windows 7 won't show the 2880 res. Windows 8 does however scale and works both ways

BT Infinity is great, not had a single problem with it and regularly use 300GB+ per month. Speeds on the checker are usually very conservative (initially told 25MB got 37.5 and now on the 80MB service I get 70MB after checker said 50MB). Overall the service is great and the router does actually...
Note is big. Proper big. It's also pretty buggy and not particularly fast when using it. The S3 is a nice phone to use it just feels extremely cheap. I'd probably pick the S3 out of the 2.
Some ikea one. Its not overly deep but is nice and long and very sturdy. Was only about £40 and fits in a Clio with ease. Seat wise I have some bucket seat thing I got from Argos a few years back. I think its the mid-sized QPad I'm using and it fits fine. Not sure the large would though :(
Anyone ordered online as a Student or Teacher? My Dad wants to order one and with the decent discount you get (£2500 vs £2263 + £70 gift card) and my girlfriend is a teacher. How does it work for them to check your actually using it for education?
Engadget, GDGT, cnet, Verge, MacRumors, 9to5Mac and Cult of Mac to name but a few. Just look round the home pages for their Liveblog tomorrow afternoon.
:D
They are too busy wanking themselves into oblivion about CS:GO (which is actually quite good in the new demolition mode. Just never crouch and your bullets are fairly consistent)

Could be a massive update if that is to be believed. Anyone seen what time / day the big keynote will be?
Will the novelty wear off after a week like the Wii though?
I find this whole second screen for games stuff a little gimmicky. It might end up the same as something like the F1 App on an iPad. It's great looking, works well and the adverts make it look like a revolution. Whilst watching the F1...
