So Grp n offers a couple of benefits. It gives a better midrange punch that you don’t get with the standard engine, and it also alters the dynamic compression ratio. You do get some improvement in the power up top as well, but I never felt the need to rev mine out - and I’ve got proof for...
We blank them off because they only offer an opportunity for the oil pressure to be piss poor when they get stuck open (which they do). It also reduces the amount of oil being thrown around in the bores - always a good thing.
The cooling side of things can be done from adding a bit extra fuel in.
As promised! Get yourselves a brew, sit down and strap in.
So remember the custom cams? Yeah me too. They were made with all the vvt drillings and threads for the bolt. If you don’t know this, the thread for the dephaser pulley bolt is bigger than the exhaust cam stud. So we had a custom made...
Yeah Graphogen ftw mate!
Yeah I do mate. It’s primarily for use when the engine is going to sit for a period of time, but it offers plenty of protection for that initial start up of the engine.
New ECU Master components and the Maxx Race ECU. (Tom is a dealer for ECU Master - if you need owt speak to him 👍🏻)
Time to get the party started and do a bit of dialling in the cams
And in the next exciting instalment there will be a lot of disappointment, swearing and very large dose of me...

Long time since any updates on this! There’s been a lot of stuff going on that’s needed custom parts, but I’ll go into that in a bit more detail later on. For now it’s a few pics - everyone likes pics. King race main bearings Graphogen loveliness King big end bearings original oil feed in the...
No problem, but everyone is entitled to their opinion mate. If you don’t agree with @N0ddie opinion - just move along and forget about it.
Oh and I own a PS4. Lol! But that’s because I’m more of a Sony fanboy. Good job there is such thing as cross play as I know lads with Xbox, pc and PS4.
What we all need to do is calm down. Opinions are like arseholes - everyone’s got one.
If we can’t keep it civil I’ll dish out points or just s**t can the thread. Neither of which I want to do.
Nice one!
Couldn’t tell you mate tbh. I have absolutely no idea what the current prices are of anything lol! He asked me - so I turned to the most trusted source of information/ideas/wisdom/experience!
This forum always delivers. 👍🏻
So, a mate of mine has a mk2 Clio track car, and he’s considering replacing it for something else.
His budget is £5k. Hit me with your suggestions - but not another Clio! Lol
Go!
Get the alignment done ASAP mate is my words of wisdom. Believe me, they feel horrific if they’re miles out - which this will be with more camber and the ride height being different.
That one won’t connect to the in tank pump connections mate as they’re not long enough to engage with the connector itself.
I used one underneath the car on my cup, but I had to modify the pipe to get it to engage fully.
It’s just not the same as the genuine Renault valeo mate. I’ve seen more clutch failures from the ‘oem replacement’ clutch kit than I ever have of the original/genuine items. It’s weird mate
Good because that has no appeal to me. Lol!
I’d play wz in the dark if they did it, but nvg’s would be useless with cold blooded/ghost or whatever makes you nigh on invisible.
