I wanted shot of the 197. I couldn't find anything else I wanted other than a 200, but there was no way I was going to buy a brand new one this time. Mainly because it's a stop gap for a couple of years max. So I bought Jeremys old one with everything on it. £21,550 original RRP, and I paid a...
LOL at some of tales in here.
Renault UK do own the plate. They bought it off a guy who picked it up from the DVLA when it was released. He got just over £2k for it.
Why would you buy a 197 which would be out of warranty, when the chances of gearbox problems are fairly high?
One of the reasons I got rid of mine was that it had already had work on it, and wasn't feeling great, so at least now I'm covered again.
Dave, it was the synchro that went on mine...
After mentioning Chris Harris having a 200, he's jus tweeted he's took it with him to the ring this week:

If you pay for it yes. You need to buy a montly ticket, as I've posted. Unless of course, you are already a Sky subscriber.
They're doing more: http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2012-03-21-sky-unveils-internet-service-now-tv-for-consoles
Not tried it with ATV yet, but Tom has.
I see Chris Harris has added one to his fleet: https://twitter.com/#!/harrismonkey/media/slideshow?url=pic.twitter.com%2Fj5tjScZz
He liked it: http://youtu.be/z3e_mYY7Yr8
As did Steve Sutcliffe http://youtu.be/Ae4RqTW5UDU
I know they've been posted dozens of times, but always worth a watch.
Not that it really matters, but to quote Evo, as I know some people love pub chat stats: "The Clio 200 Cup lapped the West Circuit in 1.32.0, 2.2 seconds faster than the
197 Cup did last summer. But then that’s evolution for you. "
What Will said. :approve:
Ignore me Paul, you always used...
Steering wise, the 197 Cup had a vague feel around the central point for me, on motorways it felt dead in the centre, mid corner it never felt to load up enough to give you confidence to push or know what the front end was doing. You could push a 182 and feel it dig in, lifting a rear wheel in...
Yeah, it did bring bad luck with it, but what I car. I still rate the 172 Cup up there with it too. It may not have had the fancy dampers, but the reduction in weight was noticable.
It was the steering feel which surprised and sold me on the 200. I agree about the gearbox. Mine is hellish...
The enthusiasm for the Trophy has never waned, and it's still held with the same high regard it had when it came out. As the 200 is most likely the last of it's kind, before we move on to small capacity turbos, it's likely to be remembered the same way.
Borrowing one isn't quite the same as...
Since 2003 I've had all of them. I can't be arsed to give a full on review, but I'll summerise my thoughts on my Clios.
172 - a decent enough fun car, lack of ultimate grip made it great fun to hoon around in
182 - a better car, more grip, great fun on track
Trophy - a better car in some ways...
Basically if you aren't a Sky customer you can pay for Sky Go which will allow you to stream the F1 channel. It's free for subscribers.
It's the Sky Go monthly ticket. http://www.sky.com/helpcentre/tv/sky-go/account-and-billing/monthly-ticket-and-payments/
One of the lads at work did it for...
I couldn't really see how it's fitted when I looked at mine. It sits higher than the top of the boot lid, but there's obviously some work that has to go on to get it to fit where the brake light sits.
Where do they cut the recess Gorms?
You can thank me at CSS Chris. :approve:
We're hiring designers: http://www.codemasters.com/uk/working-for-us/birmingham/
The advert is for Experienced, but we're also looking for entry level too (to work as my monkey:approve:).
Re: My Renaultsport RB 200 Clio!
Stunning car. Makes me wish I could find the time to clean and carbon mine.
You'll barely notice the tints Chris. The only time I notice mine are when I reverse on to my drive and the security light comes on. It's noticable that it's not such a white...
I can't really say much more about the game and what we're doing at this early stage, but here's the picture of my desk Andy wanted.
Not much to see really. There's a 2011 Renault F1 car, a Porsche Carrera GT, Bumble Bee and Optimus Prime and the usual work stuff.
We'll be looking in to that again. Last year we had trouble getting the balance right, we even made some changes in the patches. Everything will be getting tweaked and adjusted plus any new stuff we're doing, like the Young Driver Test.
I've done indoors with electric karts with teamworks karting recently. It was okay.
I also did Birmingham wheels a few weeks back. Couldn't fault it.
Doubt I'll be able to make it though. We've already booked another GP there.
