Thanks for that. Why is this one part of the Clios so vague in terms of manufacturers, part numbers and pricing?
I would have thought an RS steering rack is exactly that - something identical across all Mk2 Clios - be they phase 1 or 2.
I’d consider the EPAS conversion more perhaps, if I used...
I think I might just bite the bullet and get an aftermarket replacement rack. KTEC are quoting £255+VAT and while that's not particularly cheap - it's a hell of a sight cheaper than the ultra-elusive Renault branded item.
If the rack wasn't so labour intensive to get to and replace - I think...
Welcome aboard!
Love the FRS's. I would personally go for this model due to the looks and the combination of the brilliant exhaust note.
Straight out of the box - are there any weak points on them? I'm assuming they will have a healthy appetite for front tyres and of course fuel. But for daily...
Cheers mate.
A new rack (assuming I could even get hold of one!) comes out at £676. I'd rather fancy my chances on a couple of bolts being replaced first!
@MrBlonde - did the tightened bolts still fix the issue?
Even from Renault, I've been told that the bolts are a mere £1.71 each. As a replacement rack is on par with finding unicorn's testicles, I'm wondering if going with new bolts would be worth it first?
Cheers,
D.
I'm already Gaming Master Race all the way - I'd be insulted to be called anything else... :tongueout:
Of course companies want to (need to) make money. But in this arena, its just plain daft. Look at the below....
So we have the G920 that suits both XBox One and PC and retails at £330. We...
Not at all. @Oggy172 sees the point I'm making below....
Exactly. Agree what is allowed and what will be transmitted in terms of data between the devices. But more importantly - whoever 'owns' the licence - do it at a sensible cost. Or even better - free.
That was just an example that I was...
Protecting their platform by antagonising the very customer base they are trying to extract money from?
It’s entirely idiotic - like refusing the HDMI output to Panasonic TVs because Sony has had a spat with them, for example. Push that too far and people start to walk.
What would appeal to...
But it's not though, is it? Phones are a daily device - something that most people have within reach at all times. If I didn't like iOS so much, I'd join the Green Robot brigade - but at least there's an alternative for my phone needs. Texting, internet, calling - can all be done with other...
The game definitely doesn't lend to 'helping' the players. Part of me actually thinks it was designed to be like that - a bit standoffish. When I first started, it was a little overwhelming and even now, I still have to Google/wiki articles to find out what I'm doing.
Some missions still don't...
Epic! Just over-run my lunch break by reading the entire thread through!
The only change I'd make personally - would have to painted the engine bay completely as well. Although you never see it - taking it back to the shell and not respraying it would bug me too much!
To be honest, unless its collecting a small pool of oil, I wouldn't worry too much. My undertray always has a coating of oil splatters and the engine 'uses' oil at a very slow rate. I've accepted it as part of the engine's design and just kept an eye on the dipstick level.
Have fun with the...
If it's any consolation mate - I had to Google how to get the Plains Of Eidolon up and running. There was simply no guidance in how to do it. You have to head to Earth and it's locked by default - I think the screenshot from above was the prequel needed to get to the Plains...... I think...
Cockpit view for me too. At the end of the day, it is just a ‘game’ - but to be in control by sitting on the roof, looking down at the bonnet - or behind the car in the 3rd person perspective - ruins any realism for me.
I also find that I can judge the distance to the car in front better and...
Looks like the long awaited Plains of Eidolon has finally arrived. Will be giving it a try tomorrow....

Probably not. But I can clearly see when people/businesses are so far up their own arse - that they are damaging the very sales that they are trying to grow.
The fact that the likes of the Logitech G25 could work with the PS3 and of course the PC. Yet not the Xbox 360? Just stupid.
Get over...
Thread revamp...
Further to Rob's post above, the URL has slightly changed. Quite impressive with the information stored - even on a couple of cars I have previously that I know were scrapped nearly a decade ago.

Probably a useful thing to use if you were...
I never understand the rationale behind selective peripheral devices working on consoles. b****cks to the licensing and any potential money-making from it.
It's self-deprecating to the industry and devs as a whole. These wheels and pedals are usually a hefty chunk of money and anything made...
My last experience of Gran Turismo was No.6 on the PS3.
I realised that something was wrong when I spent far more of my time in the dealerships, reading about the cars than actually going out to race them.
My wife would rather watch Ceefax on repeat than put up with him for 5 minutes on the TV. It's the main reason why we don't watch WD - one of the few people I think she would ever harm if she came into swiping distance of him!
Is it definitely the boot lid itself and not something that's fallen behind the plastic liner at the back edge of the boot?
I know when I have my seats down, there's a rattle at low revs from behind there. Given there's an opening where the boot netting can attach to, I wouldn't be surprised if...
Lol - it does kind of detract from a game where you can crouch behind two plastic chairs and survive a torrent of incoming fire your way!
Tbf, what annoys me more when there is there is too much debris in the way when you're legging it somewhere and boxes, cartons, furniture, etc make you slow...
Nope - stayed clear of the beta - as I pretty much do all the time. I like to play games when they are finished, established and have the majority of their issues ironed out. Games are so complex these days that there are normally several dozen changes that need to be applied even within a day...
