For me, this is where the BF games completely overshadow the likes of COD. Admittedly vehicles are a bit of a weak point in BF1, but usually they are pretty good.
I remember the old days on BF2142 storming into a base in a walker with all guns blazing. Then realising that an engineer (or two)...
Season Pass is being given away free through Origin for this...

The poor sound engineers best be looking for jobs elsewhere. Imagine the work involved for Formula E? A backing track of a desk fan couple with tyre squeal.
A veritable audio feast for the eardrums....
Speaking of sound cards, just a heads-up for those using onboard audio.
Mine has the headphone amplifier feature like many mobos and sound cards have these days. What isn't immediately apparent is that amplifier is only active when using the front ports on the case - not those on the rear of...
@Daz... - just a quick change in the profile setting for the fan graph. Interestingly, the pump defaults to a slow speed too - I've upped that to Performance with no change in noise level.
Will be tweaking this over the next day or so.
The issues are all purely down to the online medium as well. If you switch to any of the single player campaigns, it almost feels like a different game in its accuracy and feel.
I really liked the entire campaign. Just a shame the online stuff didn't follow suit.
You get to see little glimpses of what the VI is all about in that vid @adamlstr
When you leave it in 4th going into Paddock Hill Bend, you can sense that you feel you should be entering it slower - that you should be in 3rd, yet the car simply handles it. I know full well that when I had...
Dropped it to 4.6Ghz and its been playable - no crashes. Though I'm finding the Corsair Link software to be a tad frustrating to use, especially after I applied the update.
It does nothing on its quietest setting - then literally panics and gives you a full fan blast for 3 seconds if you so...
Is the alternator the correct one? The Renault dealership that did mine took three attempts to fit the correct one. Even that failed a few years later - lol.
The massively time consuming bumper light swap out earlier on. Tbh, the original picture doesn't really show just how yellow and discoloured the original lens got.
Nice swap-out for a couple of quid and about ten seconds of effort. Clearly needs another damn wash too!
Bloody hell - that 160 lump must sound like a waste disposal chomping on spanners!
You're probably right on the head gasket and other bits - I don't actually know myself. I do know that having it screaming away just several inches from the back of your head is intoxicating. The...
I'll be honest - I've literally put a couple of minutes into it - more to set it up than anything else. I know there's a Motorsport Manager 2 in the pipeline too, so it might be worth holding out for that?
Having said that, if it's been cheap on Steam once, it will be again.
Got to say, the K-series that's powered the Lotus 340R I've driven a few times has been bomb-proof. It had the extra Lotus approved package that took it to around 190bhp and has been given death everywhere its been.
It makes a rotary engine sound smooth on idle - it really is that lumpy. But...
Yeah, Spooky Time will be the next, I reckon. Definitely worth keeping a regular check on the flash sales. Some decent stuff pops up that's only valid for 24/48 hours.
It was ok in game at 4.8Ghz - though I might try a title much more CPU intensive game and see how that fares.
Realbench didn't even give it the option of lube...
Flol - Realbench locked my PC in ten seconds flat. CPU core temps got to low 80s and then it froze.
I know that the Corsair Link software was set to be very silent/restrictive. Also, there's a thermal ceiling rating in the BIOS currently set to mid 80s C - so again, that made sense.
I'll have...
