hmm, but pannel filters dont make any noise, it needs to be a cone filter for a good sound, but how do you convert your standard air box to a cone one?

i founds the best place for the live wire was down drivers side of the car... in the drivers footwell there is like a hole with a rubber plug in it. Is this what you mean by grommet? And is there one on the passenger side? as thats the side with the battery
