Sub has JUST come in the post

My brand new sub has just come in the post.

Its the new 1200watt 300rms JBL iv been going on about, im a little confused tho as there is probably a simple answer.

On all previous subs iv had there has been a positive and a negative connection, this sub has two of each layed out in this order...

Negative Positve Negative Positive

And im just wundering,

1. Which ones i wire up to the amp
2. why is it like this

I have a picture but dont know how to upload it
any ideas?

yup dual voice coil , dependent on the inpedence of the coils you will have to wire them up differently to put the desired load on your amp,

im guessing they will be duel 2ohms

Right i appritiate the help but i am a total newbie to this, so are you saying that you would have the for outputs on the amp (2 positive and 2 negative) all wired up to the same amp? because i will have twin subs... that is 8 wires.... seems a little silly

no on the sub youll need to link the wires round positive to positive then to the positive on your amp
same for the negitive.
you youll only have 2 wires for each sub

Yea but i have two subs, so do i just wire them both up like this? and then my second sub would go to the two unsused bits on the amps

Not that i doubt you but im about to wire them up, are you 100% sure thats correct because id hate to blow them! have you ever done it on subs of your own?

yes thats correct, I wired 2 kicker L7s a similar way to run 2ohms

but youll be putting a 2 ohm load on your amp, make sure it can hack it

you no the middile conections on the sub (1 positve and 1 negative)

there already conected with like... a gold plate, so no need for wire

the gold wires are jumpers.

They come pre wired out the box, Connect both to your monoblock and it will show a 2 ohm load.

everyone on here is saying its better to get a 2 channel amp rather than a mono and i went motor world today for a second opinion and they said the same thing,
